My 12 year old kid says… We need Chapman to work a walk. And then Jansen to hit a homer. To which I replied… Well, Jano is clutch—->

Let’s get this one!

All credit to Jansen. We should’ve extended him before we traded his internal competition.

I was sort of half watching this game with the Djokovic match going on at the same time, but was there a reason we didn't have a pitcher run for Kirk in the 10th?

Yeah, well that was my question. I’m not sure.

Probably just bad managing. Safe to assume with this guy.

I am no fan of Schneider, but thankfully he had the sense to send his man crush Biggio to the bench in the 8th, and give Lukes a chance to hit. Lukes has only 19 At bats all year. You give him the same number of the opportunities Biggio has this year (140 at bats), and Lukes would definitely have better at bats and hits overall than Biggio. Even if Lukes is a bench warmer.

Jansen should be given more DH opportunities, the days he is not Catching. No reason why he should not be in the lineup more often than he has.
