Like I said before. He can't play off ball and he's only effective with a very high usage.

Isiah Thomas, AI, Trae, etc etc who are all infinitely more talented all needed the high usage to remain effective. Nowell isn't good enough to require that usage.

Good G League player but he's not the answer for our guard issues lol.

Nobody said it was easy. No one ever said it would be this hard. Take me back to the start.
I believe in Masai.

He couldn't even shoot over 38% from the field in college. He not making the team, this is just some fodder for summer league.

He shot 39% in college - that's what Fred shot in his last year at Wichita. Guys like Donovan Mitchell, Young, etc also shot around 40% in college.

I wouldn't fixate on that too much, it has a lot to do with the team you play on and the type of shots you take.

Except he's 5'7, just very hard to get shots up with that height in the NBA. Hope he does well, I just don't have many expectations. I think him making the 905 roster would be a success for him.

Being short is a disadvantage in the NBA? Thanks for this new insight.

I beg to differ. People were overestimating him left and right after his first game. In fact some were saying he is already better than Fred.

Nobody said hes better than Fred. Not a single person said hes a better player than Fred. You just have a problem understanding nuance.

Its okay to overreact and overrate an undrafted player during the offseason. People want to see another diamond in the rough story since FVV left.

Nowell was meant for gleague.

For him to crack the roster, a couple of injuries/meltdown by Schroder, Flynn, Dowtin need to happen.

Right now his passing in SL looks bad and shot mechanics not great. It's still early but needs to have superb next couple of games

For the love of god. It is hilarious that ppl don't understand the relative importance of FG% for point guards.

Nowell was, by far, the best point guard of the college tournament.

The point guard position always has the lowest FG%.

This shouldn't require explanation on a basketball forum.

Anyone is better than Fred. The guy literally hijacked and sabotaged our team. To that extent yes, Nowell is better than Fred. So is Schroder. I'd take Derrick Rose over Fred in the short term as well. Nobody is saying Nowell is a long term solution future all-star at PG. We just need guys who will play team basketball and bring good vibes until we can find one.

All that was said was he looked the most polished player on the court. He looked like he belonged.

Nice clips, thx. Kid's first step is off the charts. It'll take time for him to learn how to use it and get his game off consistently, but I'm confident he will. Glad we have him.

Yea Steph Curry shooting almost 50FG% 42 3P% and 90% FT this year doesn't matter. Not important at all, would be better if he shot 34% from 3 this season like VV.

Nowell is gonna play in the NBA is my prediction. But I think he’s got lots of G-League ahead of him in the near future.
not strong, only aggresive cuz the power ain't directed/ that's why, we are subjected to the will of the oppressive

Seeing as he’s basically 24, you would hope so lol.

He’s going to be great for the G League team. Bring much needed structure that the team has been missing since the tampa year.
