I loved how Vin Fosh had to do some cleanup work after being obviously wrong, lol.

Nobody stays on top of a fluid situation like the Vinsider!

Now we know the Sixers are losing in the first round so even his statement of Paul Reed returning for '3' years turns out to be false.

back in

and back out.

Unless we get a young wing for him...then I'm back in before the next questionable move

If you have a plan, even if it's not great, then stick to the plan. This is clearly a deviation.

Now they have to pivot yet again. Making a bad plan even worse.

Just frigging trade Jo already, fire the entire FO, and rebuild. They have their pick this year and the future picks are like top 6 protected.

Beyond having less cap space next year, it would push them closer the 2nd apron this year, and would probably take the tMLE off the table completely. Not to mention, the Harden situation and not knowing about its impact on the cap or roster spots.

Love to see some moves that upgrade roster.

I'll pencil Reed in as starting PF and Tucker as back .

I'm looking to trade Melton 8mill and Korkmas 5min for a Wing. Also to get under luxury tax .

Springer is fine in the Melton role.

Tobias has for a upgrade wing is a must as well...

Embiid is not going to play 82 games. You're really cool with going into those games with Mo Bamba and Montrezl Harrell? You really want to rely on those two players to play non-Embiid minutes in the playoffs? I think you're crazy.

the_process wrote:If you're going to deviate from a plan

You act like you're in their meetings with this conjecture. The front office obviously knew there was a chance that Reed would get a multi-year offer from some team. You have no idea what kind of offer Morey was willing to match from the beginning. No team can have a "plan" that isn't flexible. The possibility of signing Reed to a reasonable multi-year deal was very likely to be included in that plan. Your deviation narrative is bizarre.

Do they have pattern recognition in Canada? Asking for a friend.

BTW, everyone should temper expectations on PJ Tucker moving to the bench next year, particularly if Harden is back. I know we don't have Doc running the show anymore, but I'd still be shocked.

This Lillard situation is holding everything up! Everything regarding Harden and Tobias has to wait for that to unfold. Would love to add Oubre, but I don't think Morey will do anything else until all these other pieces fall into place. :banghead:

I bust his chops on twitter and he follows me. He's ok, just a guy having some fun.

Would love Oubre, but did you know Oubre has Tobias Father as his agent. Probably low odds on that signing.

If no trades come about before the season I would like Oubre for some or part of the exception amount, but based on Morey loving older guys on minimum contracts I am lowering my expectations for a wing to someone like TJ Warren who has not been healthy or very good since going off in the bubble tournament.

The thing I can’t understand is why does PJ want to start anymore? He’s an obvious case of a vet who can coast & play as few regular season minutes as possible while still guaranteed a major playoff role.

I think the Lillard trade gets resolved in early August once Jamie Jaquez from the Heat is eligible to get traded.

While I certainly don't want to move Springer just for the sake of moving him especially considering the dearth of young talent on this team, if Morey gets back something of value for him, I'm all for it.

I think that's the same thing people said about Matisse, and then we ended up getting McDaniels who we didn't even use.

Just too many cost cutting measures or players not getting a fair shake.

Isaiah Joe would have fit perfectly on this team.

You really loved Tisse's end of game, end of shot clock fouls on a 3 point shooter play, didn't you?

Haha, I hated him for that. Still think he's a useful player. As usual this team decides to make these moves when they have lost their value. Or Glenn hasn't given them enough playing time to help their confidence.
