Off-topic but isn't it weird there is a collective of like past-Magic posters on the GB that just have the wildest takes on the team

Well, one thought Bol was a core piece along with Paolo and Franz and the other said we have only role players :lol:

(I guess they added a caveat of "at the moment" but if that's the case then that's like 90% of rosters.

neither Franz nor Paolo are stars yet. they have a chance to grow into ones, but they arent right now. he wants to contend, not just make the playoffs.

Miami ain't happening and Portland just drafted his replacement, he'd be just fine once the trade is done - there's a lot of worse places he could end up. He'd love playing next to Franz and Paolo, while Suggs would take the pressure on defending best guard. Plenty to love in Orlando for him and playoffs could change the way rest of the league thinks about us.

Who are these past-Magic posters? They don't post anymore on our board? I recognize a few names in my long tenure here but I dunno the reason they left here.

Yeah, I find it strange there are so many "magic fans" on the GB that I have never seen post here.

How does someone have so many opinions on the team but share them with people that don't watch the Magic?

BTW.. on the trade thread there was a proposal for a JA/Adams + filler for Franz/Black/WCJ + filler.

I know we love Franz and love-the-movie-hate-the-player JA Wick.... but still... you have to think it. An upcoming Franchise-level player AND a Top-10 NBA Player on the same team with a good supporting cast.

Worth it?

The Statlanta guy. He claims to be a Magic fan but said we have a team full of role players and that our young core was behind Houston's and Detroit's.

I feel like Franz and Paolo have to both be untouchable. Franz for the reason that he’s likely to fit with and elevate anyone he’s paired with.

Consolidating other pieces to add Ja/Trae/(insert young star guard) who would share lead scoring duties with Paolo feels like a better rounding out of the team. Though I don’t think those two would fit the character profile our FO is targeting. I’d be interested to know if they’d pass on acquiring them if given the opportunity at a decent price (Black + Suggs), or if De’Park prefer internal growth still.

I agree they are untouchable in our team... BUUUTTTT... seriously, Ja before his movie Ja Wick which we called the 22-23 NBA season was like a face of the league type of player. That is something we hope Paolo and Franz can achieve.

A totally serious and mature Ja is not something to be laughed at.

I remember one time he was super sour about something in the rookie thread and I asked him if he was feeling okay. He didn't respond.
