It is almost as if people ignored him playing with 4 non-shooters during his entire college season.

Do we think Bouknight makes it to the opening night roster for Charlotte.

He's just getting waived in like a month, right.

Charlotte is so badly coached, it's hard to take anything away from these performances...but Bouknight and Kai don't need to be on the roster. Charlotte has plenty of young guys that are simply better (LaMelo, Miller, Mark Williams, JT Thor, Nnaji, Bailey, Nick Smith, McGowens - all under 22) that they simply just need to cut them and move on

As for Bouknight...he is just so utterly lost on defense than he isn't an NBA player. Total whiff of a pick...Mitch Kupchak was rumored to really like Giddey during that draft but he rose up too far and OKC picked him 6 instead of Bouknight who was mocked there, and he drafted the falling knife instead. That disaster of a draft will cost him his job (that and trading the 13th pick for the 27th pick because he said and I quote "we have too much young talent to make two lottery picks" when I was on my knees begging them to take Tari Eason

James Wiseman is in his fourth year and literally just looks tall. Had one nice crossover but it ended with him getting blocked and falling down.

Duren is the only guy who's looked like a real guy for them. Ausar just isn't really getting involved.

Cam Whitmore looks awesome, he's going to have to work on the ball stopping big time though, obviously. Going 20 to a team with a bunch of wing depth where he'll have to fit in vs going fifth and getting to cook whenever he wants may end up being big for him.

Jabari shutting me up. He and Tari look too good to be out there

I feel like the Hornets heard the Warriors liked him, and picked him because of that. He’s been bad from day 1.

Not sure what it is.. but Whitmore just seems like a summer league star. His game doesnt appear to have useful substance in games that matter

Cam is going to really need some G League because I can't see an NBA coach trying to win games playing him.

Exactly, you might read something onto it such as Tatum being really good or 2nd year Brown looking league's above everyone else (own examples from when I used to watch games) but SL is basically a baseline. If you been somewhat around the league (1 or 2 years) and you are not dominating then it's a huge red flag.

If you're judging by box scores, I think you're doing it wrong.

Summer league is about player development. How do they look physically? How are they developing mentally? What is their effort level? Do they make the proper reads? I know that's harder to gauge as fans, but these are the things that translate over to the NBA, not if someone averages 30 ppg in summer league...

You do realize these are basically glorified GL games right? Combine that with the tiny sample size and it just doesn't mean that much in most cases.

Yes, and G League is good for those same reasons.

Two pretty good examples of the worth of summer league just got paid pretty well this summer in Austin Reaves and Naz Reid.

Anyone notice that Black and Paolo look like they could be brothers. They are both kind of a little odd looking in the same way.
