The comparison of Springer and Thybulle is absurd - Springer is worlds better on the offensive end, showing an ability to create his own shot and pull up for a midrange jumper, use a series of different floaters, or finish strong at the rim.

His 3-pt. shooting, based on the fact that he's a good FT shooter, is something that should come in time, but is already at the very least on par with Thybulle, whose value on offense extended no further than being a corner 3 pt. shooter or in the dunker's spot.

Defensively, Thybulle was never a great on-ball defender, often committing stupid fouls. His strength was creating turnovers through deflections, and he relied too often on that in lieu of solid an-ball defense. Springer has the potential to be a genuine stopper on the ball.

There really is no comparison, and Springer is a kid I sincerely hope isn't flushed the way our promising youth has been for the last several years.
