If you have friends it’s technically possible with co-op. But yeah can’t do it solo.

They did mention today (and maybe previously?) that there are hireling available for each of the 12 classes that are otherwise fully customizable. I didn't see a reference to how many of them you can have (my guess is one), but at some point in the story it sounds like you can at least create one other character to your liking.
Oh, that is excellent!

Talked with a couple buddies. We have a group of three to run. Might be able to snag a 4th, but organizing time with 4 people for a progressive video game can be a pain. Looking forward!

October 24, 2023!

My fall is going to be busy between Cities 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Starfield, Super Mario RPG, and I'm sure 5-10 others. No to mention my growing backlog (which now includes Path of Exile and Pillars of Eternity  )

I highly recommend this game since it's only $3.99. I just played for 5 hours and no idea where the time went.

Definitely looks like there was a lot of inspiration taken from Vampire Survivors lol. Which is a fantastic game also, btw.

I'll give Halls of Torment a try for $4, lol.

I've never played Vampire Survivors so maybe that's why I'm enjoying this game so much.

You should check it out. It's cheap and there's hundreds of hours here with all the content. I've played a ridiculous amount and I only have 54 of the 117 unlocks.

The Ringer weighs on twitter vs threads.

https://www.theringer.com/tech/2023/7/12/23791878/meta-instagram-threads-twitter-killer-elon-musk-mark-zuckerberg

Here's a premise to build on:

What do users really even want in a Twitter successor, assuming they want one at all?

What follows is vibes-based speculating. No discussion of functionality and purpose, much less the concrete points I've repeated here enough to make me sick of saying the same things add nausea.

It's such an easy answer to his question: I want Twitter, circa 2021. That's it.

I guess that would be a pretty big step up from the current situation, but we'd still be dealing with the really nasty social incentives that Twitter trades in (quote tweeting, dunking, everything is a binary, warped sample sizes, etc). A lot of that stuff is hard to solve as it's rewarded with more engagement, and social media is kinda breaking our brains in general, but as long as we're wishing for things, I'd be down for quote tweets going away.

Well after 6 years, it was finally time to upgrade my PC. I was still using a GTX 1070 lol.

CPU - Ryzen 5 7600
CPU Cooler - Corsair H100i Elite Cappellix XT 240mm AIO
GPU - AMD Radeon 6950 XT
MOBO - MSI Tomahawk B650
RAM - 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000
PSU - EVGA 850W Gold
Case - Corsair 4000D Airflow RGB
HD - 2 TB Samsung M.2 SSD

Looks like everything should be here by the 20th of July.

Twitter also wasn't exactly a happy place pre-Elon. I understand why people love it for specific things, but it'd really been a cesspool at-large quite some time.

I don't claim to have the answer there (and we probably shouldn't explore it here), but it was a nasty place far easier to stumble into than other social media networks IMO.

I was torn between the Corsair 4000D and the NZXT H7 Flow. Both cases looked great.

Opted for the 4000D because the 3 included AF120 RGB fans have been getting great reviews. I got the black version, I just hope the tempered glass side panel isn't too dark. The white version comes with a clear glass side panel, which I would have preferred, I think.

That's actually hilarious because I was coming here to say that I just ordered a new Desktop. Bought a nice laptop in 2021 and have been doing everything on that but I'm starting to work from home more now so that's how I justify it to myself, lol.

Yeah I'm not a giant fan of tempered usually, but I think it'll look good. Also did you end up with a monitor upgrade?

I went prebuilt because I had $1100 credit with Alienware. Between that and the various discounted, ended up getting $2700 off. Spent $2500 out of pocket. Alienware Aurora r15.

Lunar Light Case, cryo-tech Liquid cooled, i9 13th Gen, 64gb ram, Nvidia geforce rtx 4090, 2tb SSD & 2tb hdd.

Yeah my brother recently sold me his 27" Asus TUF 4K monitor, he decided to game on his LG OLED TV instead and wanted to ditch his monitor.

I have a dual monitor setup though, and the only other monitor I have is 1080p. So I kind of want matching monitors. I'm done spending money for a bit though, so that'll have to wait lol.

Jeeeeeeesus lol.

That GPU by itself costs damn near what my entire build did. That thing is going to be an absolute beast.
