Washington was selling really low on Porzingis, which is why Morris/filler (and then Tyus Jones/filler) worked.

Now, unless there's a sell low opportunity - Siakam, Lavine? - I think it'd take Powell+1st, maybe more than LAC wants to pay.

But they have Covington too, Morris is expiring - they could get creative with a third team.

Not really, dude. Height matters in basketball quite a bit. An inch or 2 can make a big difference. You've never watched a game on TV and thought, "gee, that player looks more like 6'10" than 6'9" or that player looks more like 6'5" than 6'4" ? If not, that's fine. Maybe you don't care about that stuff, or maybe you don't have an eye for it. I used to be a HS basketball reporter where often times rosters at the games didn't have heights listed (or they list incorrect heights). So I tried to get pretty good at guessing them..

You pick the most random things to argue about. It's also pretty weird that your troll comment (which added nothing at all of value to the discussion) was posted exactly ONE minute after my post. So you just couldn't wait - you rushed to your computer and jumped so quickly at the chance to troll :noway:

Height is very important. No argument there from me. If I see a forward supposedly 6'7" standing next to a guard listed at 6'4" and they seem same height I definitely raise an eyebrow. I do find it very hard to believe that you or anyone can tell 6'10" vs. 6'11" over a video where there isn't even any shot of him standing straight up or next to anyone whose height we know in a still shot.

I didn't mean to argue though. Not sure what other arguments over random things I've picked either? But there was definitely no ill intent. I just chuckled a bit at the 6'10" vs. 6'11" precision. As for the one minute thing, I just happened to open the forum shortly after you posted.

But yeah, can't stress enough that I in no way meant an argument haha

Should we be trying to target Paul George for draft picks and filler? How soon before the clippers decide this isn't working and want to recoup some capital?

Too bad Isaiah Stewart got his extension, thought we'd be able to steal him for a 1st

I am genuinely puzzled why DDR is such a poor three point shooter. The guy is obviously a good shooter. The last 3 seasons he's been hovering at 87-88% from the line on high volume. Maybe he just needs to start chucking a bunch of threes and get comfortable.

Interesting ranking of potential 2024free agents.

"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

2026 is the cream of the crop FA class (Tatum, Mitchell, Bam, Giannis, Fox, Shai, Bridges, JJJ, Jarrett Allen) but my guess is none of the top players actually make it to FA.

You don't trade a 1st round pick for a guy who's just gonna be your 4th big..especially a guy who (at the time was) on an expiring contract.

Before the Porzingis trade, sure he was a guy I would have liked for us to try and get. Didn't really make sense after adding KP, though..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Yup. Harden going anywhere but LA is good for a potential Brogdan deal.

I like Malcolm but he is unreliable. Even playing the fewest minutes he had in years he still managed to get hurt at an inopportune moment. Besides, between him, Zinger and Rob that's some heavy reliance on too many injury prone guys.

If the Clippers come back around to Brogdon, tell them the convo starts with Norman Powell

A smaller part of why I was bullish on getting him. Sometimes guys figure it out, no one saw Horford or Brook Lopez being three point shooters. Plus like you said, he's got a lot of pieces in place, it's not like hoping a guy that can't even hit a FT is suddenly going to be Pete Maravich.

And if not, still a solid guy that (pre-KP) filled a niche of a consistent inside the arc threat and can get to the line. And if he does uptick just a bit, it's a high end offensive piece cheap in terms of trade cost and salary, plus he does seem like a genuine good dude.

But too $$ so RIP my Brogdon/PP/TPE guy/Champs for DDR and Caruso trade idea I liked that one a lot.

Unless LAC are willing to include Mann, not sure a Brogdon deal is there to be made anymore. I'm assuming they aren't idiotic enough to send one of their tradable 1sts from 2028-2030 for Brogdon. Mann is the only thing of real value now that they made their #30 pick already (unless that's a guy we really like?)

If they traded Mann and Covington for Brogdon, they'd have:

Brogdon / Westbrook
PG / Powell
Kawhi / KMart Jr.
Batum / Morris
Zubac / Plumlee

Bones Hyland, Amir Coffey, Kobe Brown, Brandon Boston Jr., Jason Preston would be their deep bench.

That's a good 10 man rotation. On our end, we'd have:

White / Pritchard
Brown / Mann
Tatum / Hauser
Porzingis / Covington
RWilliams / Horford

I don't like it over keeping Brogdon. But, if I could flip Covington's expiring deal with picks (and maybe other filler salary) to get another good piece back, then I'm intrigued.
