Including, apparently, the guy who imagines himself being the most socially enlightened person in the NBA.

He and every other person and corporation are all hypocrites. As are you for supporting the NBA.

Glad we got that out of the way

Yes, me supporting the NBA is the same as Kyrie setting up a shoe company with China in which he has an ownership interest. Good take.

I'm just trying to enjoy a sports league. Kyrie, a multi-millionare hundreds of times over, is going into business with the Chinese so he can make hundreds of millions more. These two things are not the same. They're not even close. I'm sorry your nihilism runs so deep you're unable to see that.

Kyrie is looking to make money in a world where making money more often than not means doing dirt or contributing to dirt. You, otoh, are contributing to the suffering of people for nothing. For entertainment.

But ya, keep judging from a place of moral superiority.

You have an extraordinarily warped view of moral accountability, one that is usually held by people who are, as you put it, *doing dirt.*

I don't know how to respond the assertion that every NBA fan is immoral due solely to the fact they're an NBA fan. It's not true. It's not even arguably true. It's a nihilistic justification for truly immoral behavior. Like a murderer pointing to jaywalkers as evidence that everyone breaks the law. It's straight nonsense.

lol. You call out Kyrie for hypocrisy for partnering with a Chinese company because there is a tangential association with human suffering and yet you dont see the problem with supporting businesses that have a tangential association with human suffering. Thats nonsense?

Just had this debate with someone who is “done with Reddit because they have succumbed to the evils of capitalism” while we were all sitting around watching fireworks from his rooftop deck overlooking the Seattle sound paid for by his job with Apple developing battery tech which uses cobalt mined in slave camps in the Congo....I love this dude and he throws the best parties But the American hypocrisy when it comes to picking what is too much evil is just silly

In other words Kyrie is a normal American in regards to his hypocrisy

*Tangential.* Anta is mostly privately owned. Less than 40% of the ownership stake is publicly traded. Here's the board https://www.marketscreener.com/quote/stock/ANTA-SPORTS-PRODUCTS-LIMI-6170948/company/

It got the rights to sponsor of the Chinese Olympic team in 08. When Morey retweeted about what was happening in Hong Kong, Anta announced it would be boycotting the NBA. After RU invaded Ukraine and the entire world basically withdrew its business from RU, Anta not only stayed, but dug in. There's basically zero separation between Anta and the Chinese government. Either you're unaware of all this, or you have a very strange definition of tangential.

I was going to ask if Anta was the Nike of China... but then I realized that Nike is the Nike of China.

Hmmmm someone did their homework...

Shi Zhong Ding... read up folks and decide for yourself

Independent of this - based on your prompting I noted Anta is FILA - would be interesting to see Kyrie bring Filas back lol

But then again there is no refuting your points about who runs this company and what they stand for....they are open and unapologetic
