We want to see more Miller time. From the short few qtrs. I can see why people think he has potential and also why he falls to 2nd round. I don't think he is ready to contribute for a couple of years and can't believe we gave him first round type money. Love to be wrong on this take.

After a year of thinking about it, I don't think it was owners, I think Connelly was fixated on adding that particular player and was willing to do it no matter the cost because he believed in his mind it would make us a title team.
He knew it was awful value, he knew how it was going to be perceived, but he also believed he was right.

Miller really has tremendous touch on his shots. Anything even near the paint feels like its going in.

Its probably why he's had some success from 3 despite janky mechanics.

I could see him being a ~37% 3 point shooter if we can clean him up and get him more consistent.

Yeah, that’s probably the appropriate response. I do wonder if the new owners got involved and pressured the move because it certainly wasn’t his M.O. in Denver or sense. He is/was a scout at heart, so giving all his picks away for a quick fix just didn’t seem like something he’s want to do.

I'm glad you took it the right way (mostly funny with a little truth behind it) - because right or wrong, the Gobert trade is what most of us grade him on. But, you are correct that many of his other moves look like they have/will help the team. And hopefully that's what all of us here want.

He does have a tremendous amount to make up for as that one move will dwarf everything else as far as long term impact.
The wheels could have come completely off with another bad move or two, but thus far he's steering the ship in the right direction.
There's a big salary cap iceberg on the horizon he is going to have to navigate.
Someone without his history might have been fired over that trade, but then again someone without his history might not have been allowed to take that big a swing by ownership.

Yep. I think that's right. He flat out thought it was the right move to make to win a championship. I thought it was too at the time. The jury is still out on the deal. I think our starting 5 is as good as any in the league. Coaching and bench will determine the rest.

If so it sounds great to me.

I know it's summer league but I'd take Brandon Williams all day over J Mac. He makes smart plays and has a great mid range game. Can finish too.

I've only seen 3 players worth their weight and those are Brandon Williams, Minott, and Miller. That's it.

I'm not at all impressed with Trevion Williams.

I see little of the comp. They both can rebound and hustle like hell but that's it. Miller has 10 times the offensive talent.
