This board really exploded post Heatles for whatever reason, I credit goodboy and iggie (yeah yeah I know they don't need the ego boost but credit where credit is due).

That being said, peak realgm imo was Knicks board circa 04-09 (basically the "peak" Isaiah era), all-time great threads there both related to bitching about guys like Curry/Randolph, as well as OT. I will never forget following the Marbury vaseline saga there as well.

Not necessarily, if its on Portland to route Herro, they are just going to sit on it until Miami increases their offer, the moment they inquire another team, its obvious they are ready to pull the trigger.

Wouldn't that also give Miami incentive to find another team to take Herro as well? If I'm piecing this puzzle together correctly that means Miami isn't really getting back any players outside of Dame and Nurkic also might not be on the move if it's up to Portland to find the Herro taker or am I off here?

Their deal does not have Nurkic coming back, Ira hit the nail on the head with how he said what their offer was.
Its Herro & Lowry(to match salaries) Jovic(Young player that Portland likes) 2 FRP's
Three things left on the table not in the initial deal:
Duncan Robinson - would only be included if additional salary is needed on a player coming back from another team.
JJJ & Caleb - Miami is only providing one of them in the initial trade(Jovic being the guy they prefer more), however they would include another one of the three only as last measure, and never would give up all three.
1 FRP - The OKC protections would only be used if and it requires a last ditch measure to make the trade.

Is it crazy to say I rather keep Duncan if we get back Dame only. I don't want to start him but I'm interested in seeing spot lineups featuring

The gravity that Dame and Duncan would pull whether they're hitting or not would be insane. If they're both hitting its unfair.

If we are capped out I’d very much like to retain Duncan especially on a shortened rotation. He played well down the stretch last year, and showed his worth. To me he’s a volume guy and if you let him cook he’s going to get his. With lineups that have Jimmy and Dame on the court he could be an absolute X Factor for us.

I, same as a few others here would like to keep Drob. I feel like now that Spos obsession with Strus is gone, Drob will regain form especially with Dame/Jimmy/Bam hand offs getting him wide open looks.

I couldn’t agree more. It’s hard for a shooter like Duncan to get in rhythm without regular minutes. Hopefully he gets that now. Very few people in the NBA create the gravity he creates when he’s in. Him, Dame, and Josh together for spurts should open up the floor for Bam and Jimmy quite nicely.
