I'd see if RJ Hampton (who is in danger of flunking out of the league) may be able to help at guard. He can score and distribute, and he's 6'5".

He made 27 pts on Apr 5 for the Pistons and had 5 steals in another game. 22 year-old free agent.

He was drafted near the end of the first round by Denver and failed in Orlando, who since their inaugural season 89-90 have had 22 lottery picks. He was waived and picked up by the Pistons and waived again at the end of the season.

Portland waiting for us to up our offer for Dame… but nobody is talking about or suggesting we wait for teams to up their offer for Herro too. Hopefully this delay by Portland helps us too with the Herro offers… or we can just tell Cronin to go figure it out with Herro later.

BS that we getting lowballed for Herro… if true. He is definitely worth more than a pick and fillers.

I agree I feel like the Herro disrespect in the media is crazy, talking like Herro is a bum and we're trying to fleece Portland. He'd arguably be one of their most consistent scorers right away imo.

Concerning when you get waived by teams like ORL and DET, but I guess that’s where FRP’s go to die.

Hampton has tools, I think the issue was he could never develop the 3 ball enough to be a consistent threat. Still young, I’d take a flyer on him as a Sioux Falls development guy who could become something.

How can we expect the media to respect Herro when he catches the most disrespect by far from Heat fans lol? We can't have it both ways.

Of course Dame is better than Herro but that has nothing to do with what I said. Simple fact is Herro gets slandered by Heat fans more than anyone else, so we can't become indignant when the media or other fan bases do it too.

Herro is no scrub. Worth at least high 1st round pick if not 2.

I don't think he can meet a high first. I think you'd be looking at two protected picks at most.

Herro definitely worth a decent unprotected FRP. He was the 14th pick exceeded expectations and would probably be top 8 in that draft if it were re-done today.

I feel like any team offering any protected picks would be a non starter in this deal. Portland will need all unprotected picks.

Herro should go top 5 in a redraft tbh

I think so too, but I figured some would push back on that so thought I'd be modest.

I hope Herro averages 30 ppg the rest of his career.

No doubt. Herro's perception around the league baffles me. The guy is only 23, nowhere near his prime, and he's already been 6MOY, and is a really solid player on offense. It shouldn't be this hard to get a pick or 2 for him.

I would just chalk that up to mainstream folk simply don't watch the HEAT enough....but the dude won 6MOY and by a landslide at that.

Herro is worth 2 1sts or 1 1st and a massive expiring depending on Portlands preference, hes the 2nd most hated on player on our team by our fans but he has some value at his age for a young team who needs a SG.

Top 3 most hated by the fan base:

1. Bam
2. Herro
3. Lowry/Duncan

Idk, now that I try to list it I’d maybe slide Lowry to 2, Herro to 3 and Duncan at 4
