Great to see Phillips confidently taking and hitting 3s. Now just keep doing that consistently and you're an NBA player.

against G league scrubs though. The Jazz have got to make a trade to free up playing time for him. He should be playing over their other guards

every 1st round pick including Anthony Black, the Thompsons, Jarace Walker, Bilal Coulibaly, Scoot, etc, is playing against g league scrubs, yet they aren't doing what George is doing.

except the teams and players George is doing it against are ACTUAL g-league scrubs whereas those other guys are facing 1st round talents and 2nd year NBA players. Listen, I've watched 90% of the games, I see who they're facing. George is often wide open besides facing scrubs and the Jazz actually have one of the more loaded SL rosters. There IS a difference. Tip your cap to him for playing well. I salute him. I just wouldn't get carried away. Here's the guys he's faced:

Smart from the Sixers
Ferrari from the Grizzlies
Moon from the Clippers
Williams from the Twolves

and as bad as these guys are, many still have had decent games offensively because George is so bad on defense. If scrubs are able to do this to him imagine how unplayable he'd be going against actual NBA talent.

at age 19, he most definitely will never improve defensively, so that's a great point. you seem smart

I think Keyonte actually has pretty good chops defensively.

Yeah, I was wrong about them. They have a nice floor even without the shooting.

Walker just keeps winning me over. That FT dunk is where it's at.

Ousmane Dieng (starting from the second half of his first game this summer) has looked radically better than his rookie season

Yeah he's certainly got the playmaking ability.

I think I want to see his scoring efficiency in the RS. The same college system that limited his playmaking also might have elevated his scoring efficiency. His TS% will probably determine whether he's a role player or an all Star

i think if he can develop into a reliable point forward type or secondary playmaker in a starting unit that would for sure take the ceiling off

Yeah playing off Hali. Kind of a bit like Sabonis in Indy but far better fitting with Turner.

I think he's a pretty interesting prospect to watch, he has real bigness. I think he reminds me of someone but I can't quite think of it.

Their feel for the game is just so high that they will find a way to stay on the court. They have superb athleticism and IQ.

Julius Randle?

In terms of physical looks and in the sense that both are PFs with some all-around ball skills but none that really stand out (although Walker might develop into a stand-out passer for his position). But Randle just plays with a lot more physicality and knows how to use his strong body, especially on offense, which is Walker's obvious weak point. Walker, on the other hand, should be a considerably better defender one would hope.

Older rookies are really good. The Walsh and Vasquez are both quality players.

George is popping hard though still not sold on his archetype

Walker and Black look like elite glue guys. I am pretty happy with Black at the second best player on my board this year.

Whitmore has way too much talent for a #20 pick.

Thompson's are likely better than I anticipated.
