Forgot LeBron ever claimed he was possibly retiring lmao. Has to be the least believable “I might retire” of all time

LOL this guy is the biggest attention wh*re the NBA has ever seen. It's hard to blame him though. ESPN has been covering him around the clock since the guy was literally 15 years old. How else would he behave?

I asked earlier in the thread if he ever alluded to seriously considering retirement and no one responded.

I feel like it’s another nonsense narrative folks made up to bitch about LeBron.

Read on Twitter

Jordan doesn't have a Twitter. That's his corporation's Twitter handle run by someone else.

Multiple players have reported MJ personally refers to himself as the greatest. But believing a rep for his personal corporation would publicly post something he would be opposed to is flat-out delusional.

The “Twitter guy” answers to the boss.

If you think it is bad now wait until he retires and the public moves on to the next guy to compare to MJ,

Are you trying to tell me MJ surrounds himself with yes men that answer to him? I don't believe it! MJ wasn't behind that tweet. He would never call himself the greatest!

He’s been doing this since the Super Bowl, lol. I really don’t think he cares what people say about him, dude is worth a billion dollars. Do you really think guys like him, Elon, and Zuckerberg have sleepless thinking about why people don’t like them ? They wipe their tears with money.

Money can buy you mansions, mclarens, private jets, yatchs, and all material things the world offers… but it cannot make people like you.. see that’s what you don’t understand… people view him as just a very unlikeable person .. and despite all the smiles.. he clearly does care which is why his Narcissism keeps gettin worse..

lol how do you know he cares? You don’t know him. Dude came from nothing, no father, a mother who was on drugs if I remember correctly, now is a billionaire with multiple businesses and millions of fans. I am pretty certain he realizes he is blessed he doesn’t need anyone’s approval.

And like you don’t know, I don’t know him either. However, I would think when you reach the level of popularity that Lebron has you realize you have as much haters as fans. It’s impossible to make everyone love you.

Lebrons unlikeablility truly transcends eras and cultures. Can't believe it's been 10+ years since the decision and the man consistently makes all basketball fans roll our eyes in unison anytime he speaks in public.

Is there a non ball equivalent of this? Lebrons being a cornball again on TV is like Michael Jackson's being weird again in the 90s

Right and his corporation also sometimes writes "from the greatest player ever" on his shoes. You think they do this without his permission?
Wilt and OJ have mentioned that he has called himself the best ever to them.

Jordan trying to be humble while releasing the last dance, an entire documentary about marginalizing the impact of his teammates. So bad that his wing man Scottie now doesn't talk to him.

“Wilt and OJ have mentioned that he has called himself the best ever to them”

Thats comparable to James having his wife call him the goat on tv?? James is so insecure about himself he would actually be the one writing “from the greatest” on shoes just to make himself feel better.

Well, yeah but that's where the douchey part comes in. Lots of guys in sports history who are egomaniacal narcissists. The difference between being one who's likable or unlikable is discretion or charm. So either being discreet about your narcissism disorder, or being funny and charming about it.

Like Muhammad Ali, he was charming, articulate, and most importantly funny so he got away with the self-aggrandizing and theatrics. There was also that boxing is an individual sport. He also seemed like he didn't care what anyone thought, he was just doing him, and a lot of it was tongue in cheek to ham things up a bit.

Bron's the total opposite of that. Totally oblivious, insecure, corny as hell. Consistently insistent, apropos of nothing. I don't know who else would be a GDOAT candidate. I mean, MJ is an a-hole, and i'm almost positive is a bad person, which I don't think Bron is.

But just pure douchey, unlikable, insufferable-ness? Most likely to make you say "**** this guy" at any given time?

It has to be LBJ at this point.

Yeah most of us were raised to downplay achievements but doesn't mean that's the right way to be. Have you never reflected back on why that's the case?

It's an old way of thinking.

Jordan never called himself the Greatest of All Time.

He didn't need to.

Read on Twitter

The fact you think Jordan tweeted this and was your only example

He told ESPNs Dave McMenamin that he had alot to think about, and when asked what he meant by that, his comment was “if i want to continue to play.” This was said after the loss to Denver. So yes he did allude to retirement after losing to Denver in the playoffs.
