You think the #1 ranked high schooler in the USA should go to Europe and play with adult aged Euro trash who aren’t good enough to play in the NBA ?

No, I am not saying he should move to Europe, but it would be good if USA had something like that. But yeah, good point, instead of playing and practicing with very high level pros, he should keep putting quadriple doubles against random 15 year olds who arent even good for college, genius. Thats logical.

To be fair the US does have this with the G league. Scoot played 2 years in the G League. If Flagg wanted to, he could sign the same 2 year contract as Scoot did and be done with high school and start playing G League next season.

He should do that. And if he dominates he should shut it down and wait for the draft. I think more and more top picks will be doing this. Once you’ve proved your the prize of the draft there is nothing left to play for. The development opportunities are dwarfs by the injury risks.

Social media has ruined the way we view the GREAT players.

You got people hyping Zion and Wemby as the next Lebron and neither of them are anything close. 2nd year Lebron was already a top 5 player in the league. Then he took over for a 15 year stretch as the best player in basketball.

Please stop overrating these younger generation kids.

MJ/Lebron's don't come around often. But somehow we get these comparisons ever other year Wiggins/Zion/Wemby now this kid. Stop it cool kids.

Stop hating and get with the program every draft now has the best prospect since jordan or lebron they said it with Wemby/Zion there saying it now with Flagg and boozers kid. It’s crazy how a generational prospect is every other year now
Hating?

So it's cool to call these kids the next Lebron and they don't live up to the hype it's fine?

Zion was supposed to take over the league. Instead the dude taking over the buffet line.smh

Wiggins is a high end role player.

Just stop the nonsense. Wemby is Porzingis with a handle. Accept it and move on.

It was clearly sarcasm my guy

Ya I don’t think it would be a horrible idea. Scoot was already a millionaire before getting drafted and it didn’t effect his draft stock too much.

I will say this, with NIL at college, the college route is still a good route, especially if you go to a powerhouse school. You’ll have millions of people watching every game (Zion at Duke was getting bigger ratings than NBA that year), you’ll make 7 figures and have a good chance to make a deep run in March Madness and you could be playing in front of close to 20 million people. That’s always good for your personal marketing.

But I think there are multiple legit paths now domestically. Either way Flagg definitely isn’t going to play 2 more years of high school. He no doubt will reclass, play 1 more year of high school and either make 7 figures at Ignite or 7 figures at college. I don’t think going an extra year early to Ignite or OTE is one of the options he’s viewing.

Bryce James will be better than bronny James both him and Cooper look like the future

People say that Bryce is better than Bronny because he's taller, but Bryce is maybe 1.25 inches taller without the open court speed or the amazing leaping ability. He's a really slow-twitch athlete who kinda moves cumbersomely like a big man (kind of like Bronny in the quarter court). He's probably a legit D-1 prospect, and I feel like he actually has more of an off-the-dribble game than Bronny, but at 6'3" without shoes and below average athleticism and no special feel for the game or anything, he's got an uphill battle to be an NBA prospect. There's a chance he becomes a good athlete since he just turned 16, but people gotta ease up.

Cooper should be an NBA all-star at least, but we'll see

71 PTS, 32 REB, 20 BLK in 2 games LOL
He's clearly wasting his time in that whatever league.

Longer Adam Morrison viously.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

The time between Jordan and LeBron entering the league is less than the time between LeBron entering and now. The time between Kareem and Jordan entering was less. Another player of that tier will eventually pop up. You can't begrudge people looking for him, even if most of rhe prospects aren't going to be the next LeBron (or Jordan, or Kareem).

Shaq was also a MJ/LeBron/Kareem type of prospect, so that's roughly one every 10 years, not to mention MJ wasn't considered ALL THAT till he entered the league (except for Bobby Knight). Akeem, Sampson or Ewing had more hype.

Yea Pascal is my PF Paul George or Chris Paul. Elite at every skill you want for that position. Flagg has that for PF position.

That’s correct… Monteverde sounded familiar. I think because of RJ Barrett.
Cade, Dlo, Scottie Barnes, and a bunch more went to Montverde. It's like 25 minutes outside of Orlando.

He'll probably grow a couple of more inches.

Joel Embiid, RJ Barrett, Ben Simmons, Precious Achuwia, and the Nemhard brothers all went there too. Bunch of retired players as well. It's a top program that competes nationally, so not just restricted to Florida.

There's only really 1-2 guys a year that this could apply to and you can reclassify in some cases (like Cooper is doing) to push up graduation. He'll be out by this time next year. Kids under 16 can't work full time in the US anyways (it's illegal) and with the G-League/NIL, he'll start making a lot of money by next summer.

The prep schools (like Monteverde where Cooper goes) are pretty much like the European soccer academies so the system is there. The benefit is the kids get to go to college on athletic scholarships which is a big deal in the US as school is not free and athletes can get in on lower grades. There is a lot of good career prospects for former college athletes and they also have easier paths to masters programs as well. There is a real cost to college in the US which is not the case in most of Europe.

Overrated kid. Can only put those number in AAU. In real competitions like Fiba u17 dude looked like your average role player.

It's hard to put a comparison on him, I've heard Kirilenko but his offensive game is way better.
