-Balcerowski has more size (7'1" as opposed to 6'10")
-Balcerowski shows more potential as a passer and as a shooter
-Balcerowski seems to play more mistake-free, fundamentally sound basketball, whereas Azuibuke seems like he makes more mistakes such as moving screens, careless fouls, careless passes, less IQ, less court awareness

One of them has a 7’7” wingspan and 9’1” standing reach https://kuathletics.com/udoka-azubuike-nba-draft/ and could bring a physical dimension the Celtics haven’t had since … old fat Shaq? He’s not there for BBIQ or court awareness. He’s there to finish with authority and block out the sun on defense.

The other you’re describing accurately as someone who might do what Kornet already does for the Celtics. If Balcero can beat out Luke, great. We’ll miss his lemon squares, but all the same to me.

The C's need all the BBIQ they can get. And considering how Porzi, Al and Rob can play the 4, I think there may be room for both Luke and Ball Sir--at least until the trade deadline. I've also seen more opponents steering away from Ball Sir than from Udoka II.

The one glaring thing I saw from Balcerowski is that he is the best screener big I saw wearing a Celtics jersey in a while. He sets solid and smart screens. Azubuike, like Rob, moves too fast off the screen resulting in moving screens. Kornet is setting meh screens and Al is mediocre.

He is also doing a good job rolling. With more practice he will learn proper popping.

Ok. Saturday is 2nd night of a back to back, it's the last game and it's not a playoff game so means nothing.

I hope we put Reggie and Vincent in there, even just for a few mins. I'd feel bad if those guys practiced with the team and sat on the bench every game but never even got a single minute of playing time.

Everyone involved in competitive basketball knows that's how it goes for some guys some time though, and they know why. The odds that the SL staff leaves someone on the bench and doesn't discover their true NBA potential as a result of it is awfully close to 0. I wanted to believe in the VVB kid too, but I'm guessing his Hungarian game isn't translating -- might be too light, too slow, too timid, too BRASH -- who knows? No one is going to bother to tell us and trash his reputation needlessly, but unless they are hiding him so that other teams don't ask for him in trades  we should just assume that this is an attempted summer fling that just didn't go anywhere.

I wonder when we're going to finally unveil Jordan Mickey on the world. Danny passed the secret down to Brad and he's stealthily waiting for just the right moment.

The Laker undrafted big man was tearing up summer league and Balcerowski neutralized him. Unlike guys like Scrubb who has been terrific BTW, Olek does the things the big league squad actually needs. He very well could be an ‘accentuator’ like Brad says he is looking for. If he got a deal like Walsh instead of a 2 way I wouldn’t mind. Of course, I thought Gele had a chance to help the team last summer too and then got exposed in pre-season games.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

They are overplaying and we are making passes that have no shot for no reason.

Well, knicks are playing VERY aggressive defensively.

When a team is playing this type of defense, you gotta use ball fakes, back door cuts, need guys flashing middle.

We're letting their aggressive D get us rattled. We need quicker passes. More ball movement, player movement.

That was a nice play though with Banton driving and pass to Balcerowski rolling to the bucket - need more of that.

Turned it over 7 times in 6 minutes. Absolutely pathetic. JD looks like a mess again.

JD a dumb turnover, then bad foul on a guy shooting a 3. Rough start for JD..

You guys don't get it.... They witnessed brown turned it over eight times in a playoff game.. And see how that's going to be rewarded with 300 million...... The young guys are trying to get paid like brown.. :D

Yeah it's obvious that he's the 1 guy on our SL team who could possibly contribute for us this season...and *maybe* Balcerowski..

Unlike luke Kornet, he looks to score the ball when he gets it inside of five feet

.. Obviously I would like to See moore but he might be a better prospect than luke..

These Knicks are playing in tune.
Our Celtics need to get it together.

Where's Banton?

Early Thoughts

- Poppin' Fresh Davidson working his TO magic. Playing like crap once anew, and gets called for an unnecessary 3-point foul
when the shot clocking was running out.

- Celtics are sleep walking on the court, already up to 9 TOs. They must think the game
started at 8:30.

- Good contact and score by Walsh. Nice set up by Walsh to the Polish guy for a hoop inside.

- These announcers are even subpar for Summer League.

- The 7-1 Knicks Ukrainian center looks like Jokic as a passer.
