Through the games I have watched, I have seen multiple times when he has a teammate open, ready for the ball and it seems like Nowell can't see the player or has tunnel vision.

His improvised passing skills are great when he can see a lane. More often than not it seems like he isn't seeing the whole floor.

What surprises me is that even though it is early, unless there is a playcall, he is looking for his own shot first, them Moses Brown, then anything else that is open. I expect more from a floor general.

However he isn't nearly as bad on defense as I thought, but anyone who tries during Summer League looks better than they do in the regular season.

I wanted to be in the Nowell camp but I am not. If we think he is a great system guard at the GLeague level he has to show a greater ability to get the ball to the open man. He is missing obvious advantages. I don't see a player worth a 2way slot here.

I feel the same way about Ron Harper Jr. Neither meet my standards for a 2way slot.

That's why they like taller QBs in the NFL.

6'0 Drew Brees became one of the most accurate and aware passers the game has ever seen.

Ron Harper Jr proved his worth last year at the G-League. In an interview he said he's experimenting during SL, take his results with a truck of salt. Nowell has proved nothing so far. His head is too gassed, he's not FVV.

I expected him to dominate summer league. 2 out of 4 games isn't bad.

Hes main goals are to work on a floater and a consistent j. Someone on this thread actually said he has tunnel vision ... Wtf lol. What on earth are you watching. His main strengths right now are his passing and court awareness.

Pretty much every PG we’ve ever had has been accused of having tunnel vision. Its a Raptor fan thing.

I didn't want to be negative on the guy while some were very excited about him some weeks back... and I still don't want to be. That being said, In either his final NCAA tourney game, or second last one (I think against Florida Atlantic) his hero ball play gone awry in the last 5 or 6 minutes would have even made FVV blush.

He's a more willing & better passer than FVV imo. Also quicker at turning the corner & getting into the paint

That Nowell has showed ANYTHING in summer league is a positive. Y'all expected lottery pick results or sum?

Very unlikely he becomes anything but if you get a Nate Robinson / boykins that’s a home run

When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

He had a good first game but the entire team faded because they just are a weird collection of defensive players. In all truth he won't play much if any time in the NBA. He is there for the 905 to run the show. He will be better there.

Dowtin Jr. will be signed as soon as he is healthy. Maybe they get a 3rd guard in a trade or vet's minimum.

His height is always going to be a problem defensively but i'm fine with a guy like this coming off the bench for some energy. His ability to get into the paint and cause trouble with his speed will be his calling card.

Barea had a unique ability to use his physical density to get separation under the basket. Lowry has/had that ability too. Fred never had it, and Nowell is just too small. His only hope to score in the NBA is his outside shooting and a Trae-esque floater (if he can develop it).
