I was at a sports bar in Argentina in the early 2000's and the NBA highlights were mostly Manu... he would score 12 points and they would show every basket

Are you referring to his claws, or his Hilton Armstrong pants game? No judgement here Evan, this is a safe space.

Warriors’ Trayce Jackson-Davis loves film, new recipes and terrorizing the rim

(It's ad-blocker restricted, but in Safari, View > Show Reader will bypass it)

Article talks about how mature he is, really seems like exactly what the Dubs need from a draft pick.

“You’re watching film, you go over it, and then you see things that you didn’t see in the game,” Jackson-Davis said. “You add it to your game the next time you play against that certain person or team, or the next time you see a certain defense.”

Jackson-Davis’ ability to identify important underlying themes, to dig deeper and see the bigger picture, is part of why the Warriors sent cash considerations to Washington Wizards on draft night to acquire his rights. Jackson-Davis’ preferred lifestyle off the court suggests a level of maturity Golden State needs more of among its reserves.

And he's definitely got "The Dog" in him, does not look like he's going to squander the minutes given to him.

“The biggest thing that motivates me is just stepping between the lines,” Jackson-Davis said. “When you’re in the lines, no one is your friend. The biggest thing for me is playing with energy. And at the end of the day, I’m trying to help my team get wins. I love to win and I’m trying to do everything in my power to get those wins. So trying to terrorize the rim, tear the rim down when I’m on the court, that’s the biggest thing for me.”

Looks like he will play either today (Wednesday) or tomorrow, though no official word yet.

Man, I hope he plays tomorrow. It would be nice to see him in at least one summer league game as meaningless as it all is.

Starting to look like a steal. He gets mixed up here and there in defensive coverages but that's to be expected from a rookie. Love the passing instincts - you don't want to run the offense through him a la Draymond but he has great vision on the roll and will make the extra pass. Shows good shot blocking instincts and effort on both ends.

Melo and amare should thrive in this offense. If Jeremy Tyler and cole Aldridge looked that good in summer league then us knick fans have a lot to be excited about. Make room for all the bandwagoners when we take off

TJD looking not to shabby. I think he settles the team down too with the pick and roll option now available . Looks like he can pass a little too.

This guy has an obsession with setting on and off ball screens. Kerr will trust him at some point.

He really is an excellent fit for what we do here.

Plays and even moves like a slightly more athletic Looney. Doesnt have the wingspan though

Athleticism is on a whole different level. He is very fast up the court. He was moving less than 75%, likely due to hamstring. Check out some highlights. He often led or finished fast breaks.

A statement that has never and will never be said about Wiseman. :D

After watching 1 summer league game of him doing that, gives me shudders remembering Wiseman's pathetic fake, awkward screens and rolling into no mans land to set up for a long slow jumper. I love this already about Trayce, as he has a wider trunk than Wiseman and you can see hw effective it will be for what we do. Add in the higher than normal IQ for a big man, and huge Hulk-like hands, and I'm aleady forgetting who the heck we drafted at #19 in this draft.

Only thing I worry about is Kerr not letting him play and learn.

Just wanted to say that I was the only one that was pushing for us to grab him even with the 19th pick a couple months ago:

You're welcome. :-) Hopefully he works out for the team, long-term, to bring us a few more 'ships and beyond that.

Nice. If he crashes and burns into a flop, it's your fault.

I think we got a steal. To bad he is 6’ 9” instead of 7’

Unlike Looney he can jump.
