What he's given us, on and off the floor. You really can't ask for much more from an end of the bench veterans minimum signing. Good job, Brad.

Yeah. Typical fluff that one says when asked in public about almost any teammate, especially the old vets, just to be respectful.
Joe is also in on it, showing that he's not the type to throw his players under the bus. Feels the need to justify his decision to give Blake occasional minutes out there.

Blake Griffin is going to see a ton of minutes in the playoffs. Hopefully that's a good thing.

Blake Griffin has been outstanding all year. Griffin has given the Celtics a ton more than I initially expected.

Re: Welcome to Boston Blake Griffin!
The guy sacrificed his knee to singlehandedly drag a near-lottery team to the playoffs -- in the process costing him his last remaining ounce of athleticism -- only to have said team & fanbase sour against him just because he couldn't immediately dunk & reproduce the same All-Star/All-NBA form soon after surgery.
He's no longer capable of dropping 50 on Embiid's head, or draining 9 threes in a game in varying degrees of difficulty, or regularly taking any defender off the dribble or in the post with highlight-reel moves... But you can still see the heart, hustle, playmaking & high bb-IQ on display in the few minutes that he's sparingly used when not racking up DNP-CDs.
Never about recapturing former glory, but now just bringing the energy, doing the dirty work, taking charges & diving for loose balls, and whatever little thing he can do to fill gaps & make winning plays. Hopefully Blake can contribute to a few nice moments in our postseason run.

All that AND he’s such a well-loved OG that I’m sure “winning one for Blake” might become a thing this spring. Hope they do exactly that!

Horford, Smart, Brown, Tatum, and Griffin are all in top 20 active players with most playoff games without a title.

His treatment by the Detroit fanbase was gross. They deserve all the losing they have done since.

I have no doubt Big Al and BG are gonna bring it every night. This may be one their last few chances at a championship. I really hope they get at least one in Celtic green.

Bumping this to say I expect Blake coming back next year.

It will be a late signing if at all. Celtics will do all their work and then see what roster spots are left over.

I'd like to see Blake Griffin back. Don't know if we'll have room for him, though?
He wouldn't be too bad as an Assistant Coach, either. Just a Great Mentor, and Locker Room Presence.
