So Scottie does indeed have the potential to be a guy who can drive in from the perimeter. I always thought that criticism, as well as the criticism of his handle, was overstated. Barnes’ issue with driving is more about his mentality than physical ability, imo.

Agreed. I think this is the key for him next season. He wants to be a finesse player sometimes when he should be leaning into his biggest advantages as a player which are his strength/size and passing ability. Everything starts there. He needs to utilize his strength to get to advantageous positions to either score or pass. It’s pretty simple. His game doesn’t have to be complex. Bully guys, make passes, and take wide open perimeter shots. The game doesn’t have to be as difficult as he’s making it. Master what you’re gifted at and build out from there.
