Heat will be fine with "filling out their roster" while they wait for the Dame trade - they already did it.. They played 10 guys against us in this past series:
Vincent / Lowry
Strus / Robinson
Butler / Highsmith
Love / Martin
Bam / Zeller
From that list, Vincent/Strus/Zeller are gone. Tyler Herro (back from injury), Josh Richardson and Thomas Bryant are in. Bryant to Zeller is a wash, JRich to Strus is probably close to lateral. Herro over Vincent is an upgrade. On paper they're as good/better. The one area of concern might be that really they only have one PG now in Lowry, but Vincent was more of an off ball guy anyway and any playmaking he brought can probably be duplicated by playing Herro or JRich at the point (both have done so before). Also possible that Jovic or their first rounder this year step up and take on rotation spots and provide further improvement.
I wouldn't be so optimistic if I'm the Heat. Richardson signed a 2 year minimum and Strus signed a 4 year MLE money deal. I don't think the league views them as a wash or even close, really. You also can't form your expectations on how they will do by removing and adding players from the team with their ECF performance as the baseline. They won't have +13.4 net points on shooting variance on wide open threes all season. Jimmy and Lowry are just as likely to take a step back or even fall off a cliff as Jovic is to improve.
