You claim to have fair criticisms yet also say something dumb like "I’m pointing out that it’s unnamed guys. It’s easy to hide behind anonymous comments". Yeah, cause in no world do reporters ever identify their sources, that's how you lose sources.
This is journalism 101. If you want to only base opinions off statements from the horses mouth only, then all you get is the typical BS publicity sound bites that you have seen over the years from every FO.
Your grasp of journalism seems to miss a glaring difference: anonymous sources are used for uncovering news, as a way to break a larger story. In journalism you never go forward with a piece based solely on hearsay from unnamed sources, you use them to open paths then eventually corroborate with on-the-record sources.
This stuff isn’t breaking the Watergate scandal, this nothing more than unnamed sources simply whining and crying that someone isn’t playing nicely in the sandbox.
Try again, Sport.
Yeah, that's why they are flagged as rumours or speculation genius. You will never, ever find them listing their sources unless it is a confirmed report that is now publicly known such as a trade that was officially submitted to the league offices.
The fact that you think you have some magnificent grasp of journalism, while also suggesting just because it isn't water gate they shouldn't use anonymous sources, is just wildly stupid.
If you don't like rumours and only want to operate on actual reports, fine that's your call. You just don't get to discount rumours cause they don't jive with what you want to be true.
Go find those credible apparent non anonymous reports that indicate that Masai is a reasonable haggler and that he isn't asking for the moon. I'll wait.
Sources tell me that you have no idea what you’re talking about.
I work in public relations with a journalism background, so the “network TV drama” depiction what you believe to be “journalism” confirms what my sources are telling me.
