Too much dismissive slander for a guy who was our best wing defender each of the last two postseasons. Yes, "damning with faint praise" and all, but it's true. Wes deserved a ring.

At least Wes Matthews is a basketball player, can’t say the same for Thanasis

Why is Dosunmu not signed yet and is there any way we can add him?

Sell him on role/playing time/rebuilding his value on a minimum deal and hope the Bulls don't match? Or somehow maneuver below the 2nd apron via trades to free up the taxpayer mle. Both highly unlikely.

Ayo would be a really solid player in comparison to replace Carter as the backup PG. Also, funny to say that considering Chicago pretty much brought in Carter to take the role that should’ve gone to Ayo lol. Am I smarter than Chicago’s FO? Maybe I am?

He’s an RFA. Teams don’t want to negotiate contracts for other teams (since they will inevitably match it).

Austin Reaves was an efficient 18, 4.5 and 5 guy his senior college. I think we would've been ok with that especially on a two-way...

Based on that pattern let's get ready for the next title parade.

Yes! Now just need to resist the urge to sign George Hill.

How dare you lump in NBA Champion Matthew Dellavedova with those two.

The Bulls got a $10mil exception for Lonzo and now are rumored to be talking deals with Toronto. I’m assuming Ayo is on hold until that dust settles

I don’t understand the hate people have for players on our team who actually performed well in the postseason.

Wes was easily our best wing defender against the Heat and him missing games was a big reason Jimmy went off. He played him really well, Jrue’s ego just got in the way.

Wes seems to be catching the slander Jae Crowder deserved

The same dudes clamoring for PJ to be back are the same ones hammering on Wes even though he gives you 90 percent of what PJ does without any of the unnecessary bull.

It's wanting the team to play and stick with younger talent because it may have more upside.

Nobody's hating Wes. We understand his contributions throughout the years.

I love Wes but he’s going to be 37 before the season starts, averaged 50 games a season the last three years and seems like he’s always got a nagging injury even when he plays. He’s a great defender and I wish he’d stayed and got a ring with us. He should be on our coaching staff and helping us get a ring.

Wes is great and I wish him the best, and I'm sure he saw that there are absolutely no minutes for him.
