This era of the Sixers sucked so much that I can’t even remember half these storylines. Classic write up though.

Gravedigging S tier posts. Look what the Sixers took from us.

This is the era people who say "Scam Hinkie" long for.

Yea, at least the Hinkie Era had intrigue due to a plan.

This was… hoping Holiday and Iggy became superstars? And we haven’t even botched the Evan Turner pick yet, lol. Still a couple of years before spraying **** down our legs to get Andrew Bynum.

I hate how we were mediocre back then.
I always wanted to tank.
I always wanted to trade Iguodala.

But that team always play hard and being an underdog and beating the top teams is always fun.

I wish one day we can have both talent and guys who has no quit in them.

Btw, Eddie Jordan is the worst coach ive seen in my life.

Whenever this team played, i wonder if they really went thru training camp because they were a mess out there.

Reading this just brings into focus like nothing else how much Hinkie and the Process changed everything about being a Sixers fan.

The decade between the mid '00's and the start of the Process was like a dead zone for me as a fan - I paid attention, but without an ounce of passion, knowing what the outcome was going to be and having zero faith in the buffoons running the team. I mean, Iggy on the scorer's table after beating the Rose-less Bulls in a dreary 1st round series was the highlight.

I'd rather go through three Processes before getting on that .500, play-in, mid-round pick hamster wheel again.

See...This is the issue. I definitely remember this era. Doug Collins came aboard the following season. But check this out...Back then we were a team full of solid role players and no star. Now we're top heavy with a couple star players and no solid role guys to speak of. It's frustrating because either way, we're a treadmill team. Give me those role players, give me Lou, Iggy, Thad, the shell of Elton Brand, Speights, Jodie the glue guy (better get him some non slip shoes) and add them to the core of Embiid, Maxey, Harris. Replace Harden with Jrue and I guarantee you we're playing in June. We're a long ways away from Operation Danish.

But throughout the Coach Quirky-Hug Club era we had the joy of reading Kate Fagan. Not just the last great beat writer, but an all time best. Yeah, we sucked, but we had a good time with her getting into it with both coaches with the info she dug out of the locker room. Glad she moved on to achieve her lofty journalistic aspirations, but definitely miss the daily repartee.
