I understand some speculation but let's not go off the rails with this.

Have you never heard of a finished basement or even if not finished, a basement where kids play? Our finished basement is a kids paradise.
Yeah but I always expect the worst. I'm a realist.

Go ahead and expect the worst. But keep the over the top speculation out of the thread. Thx.

Absolutely tragic. Really bad run news for Bucks HCs the last 5 months.

What!? So that Giannis will sign with Panathinaikos to join them when his deal is up?

Sign Thanasis, TODAY. :blank:

Absolutely tragic for Griffin and his family.

Probably depends on the person, but I don't think it's really that abnormal at all to be honest. Most of my friends, myself included, don't answer the phone 99% of the time. I would call back if I have a voicemail message because I'm mostly attached to my phone, but I know a lot of people our age (30s) that likely would not call back/go days at a time without looking at their phone.

It sounds like Alan had family over (Adrian and his wife) and may have been busy entertaining them? I don't know, feels more believable to me than assuming something nefarious, especially when it seems like there's evidence that the respiratory infection simply worsened.

Not trying to cast blame or infer anything bad, but when ever I babysit anyone I’m glued to my phone.

Really need more information. If the child had been down there in a bedroom overnight then I wouldn't expect them to be glued to the phone.

When my daughter goes down I have the monitor on and I turn the volume up but the LCD off. You could just assume they are sleeping until you go and wake them up and they're not. Subsequent reports have shown no trauma or foul play. The child's mom said doctors had found fluid in his lungs, and seemed like a routine respiratory infection.

So hypothetically, you put the child to sleep because they have a cold/infection. Go upstairs and from the looks of it everything is fine, just sleeping hard. Until the next morning it isn't. Awful tragedy.

Yea, likely we just have the moms version of the story but it seems unlikely the mom is inferring she called during the night. Story said she called multiple times and probably was likely due to the kid feeling sick. The known facts make it seem like the father was unresponsive. There is nothing indicating negligence that resulted in the death but it still looks bad not to communicate to the mother. Idk if I have a sick child (even my own in a marriage) I would be sure to provide updates. Based only on what was reported, it would seem cruel not to respond to a mother after she dropped off a sick kid.

Can't he just DocuSign it? The first contract should be a cool photo op but this seems like an excuse to skip out?

Eta: why are you implying hes coming back? It could be any NBA team! :D

I did wonder why he literally has to travel to the US. He can't fax or email it?

Some reports are saying that Thanasis new team might not be the Bucks. Maybe that's why he has to to travel to USA amid preparation. I don't know who could be interested on him other than us though.

Lets see...

Assume it’s the Bucks but odd to word it as nba contract.

Still only have Jrue as the only nba quality point guard on the roster. Can’t see how that doesn’t change soon.
