If he resigned and works out with Miller and Mark Williams that is going to be to his benefit. It serves us the us best to retain or to try to retain him. We need the talent, he's young and proven with Melo. If he fits with Miller and Williams, I really I think we could be onto something. I didn't mention Melo because we know what he can do. Those 3 additions to Melo for a full season if healthy can really make us level up. Hopefully we resign pj reasonably.

I believe in 2nd chances too, he said the right things and him succeeding is the best possible outcome for everyone involved, lets hope he continues as a good/great up and coming player.

Agreed. And it’s not like he hasn’t been punished. Dude seriously lost 10s of millions of dollars. Maybe closer to $100M considering $0 last year, heavy discount this year, when he would have been near Max. And he’ll get punished on his next contract too. And the loss of any/all endorsements. That’s a serious punishment.

Piston fan here. He would be a great basketball fit for sure. Our GM has been picky on player’s attitude so not sure if we’ll make a play.

We are going to get 25 cents on the dollar for him. No point in trading him.

Truth is depending on what happens with PJ/Oubre etc this summer. We are probably looking at 40-50 million in cap space. We will still own Bridges cap hold, so we can go over the cap to sign him regardless.

I won't promise we resign him because who knows, but I do think Miles will just sign with the team that offers him the most money. We are in position to do that. If he takes more money elsewhere good for him. I don't think it will be some crazy number, but 4/130 seems likely if he plays well with cap going up.

Also, since his cap hold next year is only 15 million. We can use cap space to sign other players first then come back and sign his deal last and go over cap. That is what a smart team would do. However, we probably will just sign him and still hover around the typical salary cap line.

Not sure why people think we are trying to trade him. We have no leverage in any deal.

My expectations are he balls out in a contract year. We offer him a contract based on his performance this season.

MJ is no longer the majority owner. I think the new owners will spend money at least I hope they do.

I genuinely believe Miles wants to be in Charlotte, so if he shows he's not going to be trouble off the court / that he's truly working to be better plus returns to his pre-incident performance (or better) then I imagine we throw the bag at him and he takes it. Him and LaMelo have talked about winning championships in Charlotte.

I think we end up keeping him. Probably did not offer PJ the money he wants because we know we need to save that $ for Miles. Just (smartly) hedging our bets in case Bridges is not as cleaned up as it appears. An engaged and healthy Miles with Melo, Mark and Miller is a line up that might actually be able to advance deep in the playoffs in a year or two. Plus Size, Shooting and versatile Skills all over the floor. BUT, he needs to prove he is no longer a purple drank slurpin hot head abuser before they give him 100 million. If we can get PJ for 15 or so per year I would add him too but if not, gotta hope Thor and a future FA takes that spot.

I made a few others of Miles playing hoops in a prison outfit, but I don't think I should post those

CHARLOTTE — An arrest warrant has been issued for Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges, and it’s related to a prior domestic violence incident. However, the situation didn’t involve any new allegations of physical violence -- it’s related to the violation of a protective order, according to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office and the county clerk of court.

The warrant goes back to January. But because deputies have been unable to serve it, Channel 9 has not been able to get a look at it.

It comes while the 25-year-old is still on probation for a felony charge of injuring a child’s parent last year.

Read the article, doesn't sound like it's anything he did and just some residual, technical process issues related to his prior stuff. That walks me back off the ledge a bit.

How have they not been able to serve the warrant over the past 9 months? he isn't exactly hard to find

Sure as hell hope this is "prior stuff"

The corresponding police report indicated that the victim’s windshield was smashed in and that her protective order was violated by Bridges’ appearance. The incident happened at her residence.
