I just posted and saw my sig and have no recollection of that **** hilarious GOS post in it that I've at some point saved in there. Weird. Don't even remember how long it's been there.

My guess would be one of the team that believe they can pry Giannis from our hands.

Lakers, Mavs, Heat...etc.

Does Jrue have some secret clause in his contract that he can be the only PG on the roster?

The Collin Sexton hype train was the definitely the most fun portion of the off-season to date...

For grins I just looked up that idiot "insider" guy everyone kept posting about. He hasn't tweeted since 7/16 and says his Twitter is bugging. Convenient.

The amount of Bucks fans eating that **** up and spewing it on my TL was infuriating. Dude was just regurgitating things that had already been rumored or outright reported as likely by actually credible writers/reporters, sprinkled in a bunch of vague emoji tweets, and had Bucks fans going nuts haha.

So…is the plan really to go with 3 backup SG’s without either an actual starting caliber 2 or a backup PG?

Giannis is the PG. Jrue and Dragic handle bringing the ball up when he doesn't. They have at least three SGs in Pat, Allen, and Beasley who are going to play 25+ minutes a night.

At the moment this is our playoff rotation IMO.

Jrue (38)/Giannis (10)
Allen (28)/Pat (20)
Midds (38)/Pat (10)
Giannis (30)/Bobby (18)
Lopez (36)/Bobby (12)

Obviously there are a ton of minutes available since I have used only 7 players. Marjon, Beasley, Crowder will have to prove themselves before they get into playoffs consideration. I have Jackson, Green, Livingston, RoLo as RS players. It will be a big (pleasant) surprise for me if they see the floor in the playoffs.

I think we'll end up seeing Crowder get 10-15mpg in the playoffs. He's only 32 and had a decent season for Phoenix in 2021/22.

Based on the board discourse this offseason, everyone outside of prime John Stockton and Chris Paul either is a terrible point guard, or simply "isn't a point guard".

Jeff Teague was underwhelming as backup PG on our championship run.

But he did play a non-insignificant amount of minutes in plenty of playoff games.

Even if you think Giannis is the only ball handler who matters, who guards quicker PG’s other than Jrue? Maybe we try Andre Jackson there to start the season and see how it goes but I’d be surprised if the plan is to rely on a second round rookie as the only option down the stretch.

I understand the sarcasm here but you can’t act like the concern the fans have of the current roster construction isn’t at least somewhat warranted… we’ve seen the likes of Jrue, Giannis and Khris and how effective and ineffective they can be as lead ball handlers. All 3 have tendencies to be absolute turn over machines. To your point, this team doesn’t need a Stockton or Paul to be a contender but a stabilizing facilitator of some sort that can put pressure on the defense and take pressure off the big 3 for spurts at a time would be helpful.

If the Suns are linked to a Tj McConnell trade, there’s no reason on any parallel universe we shouldn’t be as well..

Giannis is the PG.

No. Bucks stay on that path, expect zero more titles coming to Cream City.
Every calorie expended in a non-Giannis role is energy not available for 'the greatest player in the world' [sic] to dominate at his real position, and it's a major reason he has not been able to physically dominate NBA players at all in our non-title years. Is Giannis even any good at point guard? Don't worry: he injured his right hand, but we can all count on him to pass with his left. What? Ball distribution is a required function of a point guard in the NBA? What? Giannis doesn't pass. We need a real point guard. 1) so that Giannis can maximize his play at his actual position; and 2) so we have an actual point guard and an actual functional team that maximizes opportunity for the Bucks go all the way. The Butterfingers Implosion requires actual, real ballhandling and facilitation, but bringing the ball up, calling your own number, dribbling clumsily into a defender, falling down well short of the bucket and handing the ball to the closest defender, that sh|t doesn't really come anywhere close to great or winning basketball.

Funny enough Gianni may be the best passer on the team, when he's solely focused on passing. Or, at least, he throws the nicest lobs lol.
