How excited are you for this upcoming season? (2023-2024 season)
I'm genuinely curious as to the thoughts of poster here.
I personally am super excited for this next season just because of Ant and our Draft/FA resigns and pickups!

This is #2 all time for me.
I think this is the most excited I’ve been since the off-season after KG, Spree and Cassell got to the semi’s. I expected us to have the talent to be a contender the following year, but chemistry issues derailed that whole season.
This is the second team I can remember that has enough talent to be a legitimate contender. A lot would have to happen to become one (avoid injuries, Ant and Jaden make another leap, Rudy and Towns return to All NBA form), but none of the other teams feel unbeatable.

I think we could finish anywhere from 3rd seed to 11th. The good news is we own our pick this year
It's the wild wild west, can't get more exciting than this. I say we finish 4th, behind DEN, PHX, and Who's Healthy.

Every year is a new season. It's good to get a rough start from last years junk out of the way. There's so much to pin issues on, injuries to stars, untimely injuries to role players, some team discord. With health and the chance to lay it all on the line this year, plus improvement as a group, commitment to playing hard, I can see MN being top 2 in the West, really. However, more likely is another contested finish between 3 and 7, so I want MN to have a significant positive record in games between 5 points. That's gonna show us the grit we need for the playoffs.
Cheers

What excites me most is the possible internal growth.
Ant this year vs this year? Better and Possibly Much Better. He is always getting better, but could take a leap
Jaden? Better and Possibly Much Better. Same as Ant.
Towns? Better and Possibly Much Better. Doesn’t enter season sick, will not miss all those games
Rudy? Better and Possibly Much Better. He underperformed his averages, and he can get fed better from Conley, Anderson and 2023 Ant than DLo and 2022 Ant. More familiarity with teammates.
Naz? He gets significantly better every summer.
Now, Kyle Anderson and Mike Conley may regress from two great seasons. But the bulk of our best players should be even better next year, and that will lead to greater success.

Every season I place at least one bet tied to total regular season wins - and always the over. So, I'm always very excited and optimistic going into the season. Having Ant, Naz, and Jaden locked down on multiple year deals takes this season to "11." A Spinal Tap reference for you youngsters.

Re: How excited are you for this upcoming season? (2023-2024 season)
After taking a huge shot to the liver last season the Wolves have a lot to prove to me.
I was certain the Wolves were going to win big last year then Kat got hurt and we lost to teams we should have beaten.
So this year I'm keeping my big mouth shut and not get too excited.
Talent wise we are as good as anybody in the league. I love our mix. The bench, if they are anywhere nearly as good as I think they can be, will be a huge factor in us winning. The bench last year was such a huge disappointment.
I don't think we've ever been this talented or deep. We'll see.

Re: How excited are you for this upcoming season? (2023-2024 season)
I really think we are going to be good this year. My excitement level isn't necessarily on par with how good I think we will be. A lot of the excitement in past years was seeing how the rookies and other acquisitions would perform together in an NBA game. There is not nearly the unknowns with this team. The main unknowns are if we will stay healthy and if we will play with a little more urgency and maturity than we did last season.

We are off to a great start. Opening day, and we are already 1/2 game up against 2 of the top 4 teams in the west

When you've been a Timberwolves fan as long as I have - since KG was drafted - it's always nerve-wrecking when a new season starts. The tough early schedule also has me on edge. That being said, I believe in Ant and Finch and I think KAT and Rudy are going to both have solid years. Let's tip this thing off!

I think I had it backwards last year. I thought playing worse teams early was better to ease into winning, but early in the season, even bad teams are trying to win. Better to have more games with them late in the season, while they try to improve their lottery odds.
I think it might be better to play a tougher schedule at the start. We may even have an advantage playing them early, since we have so much roster continuity, and so many of our players are in good shape because of playing FIBA this summer.
I agree - let’s tip this thing off!

Wolves start to get more respect in national media - USA Today have Wolves at 45 wins instead of 44.5

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
