Non-Suns basketball

August and September will be slow on Suns news, so I wonder if people are interested in watching World Cup with friendlies starting in a week or so and the main event in end of August. Mikal and Cam will participate so I guess this will raise interest for some Suns fans. Also which teams besides Suns are people most interested to watch next season.

For me World Cup is interesting after the group stages as it's a great basketball between very good teams and a lot of surprising outcomes can happen in a single elimination game.

As for other NBA teams I used to follow Mavs outside Suns the most in past seasons, but next season it's the Kings. Curious to see how my countryman Vezenkov's game translates in NBA. They are also a really likeable team with a star in Fox, who's beloved by their fanbase similar to Booker by Suns fans, Keegan Murray who showed signs of breaking out in SL similar to Mikal and Kings fans expect him to become a star very soon. Sabonis who's a C in Jokic's mold and the main reason Kings play a fun style of basketball with a lot of ball movement. I'll actually try to wake up a hour or two earlier to watch Suns - Kings games live.

Mavs are next as I want to see how they bounce back from last season's fiasco.

Denver as the champions come next. Personally I think it's very unlikely they repeat, but it's important to have home court advantage against this team in the playoffs.

Then those young teams in WC are also intriguing. I expect Wembanyama to leave mixed feelings during his rookie year similar to SL. ROY race between him and Holmgren/someone else should be fun.

In EC mostly interested in teams like Bucks, Heat if they trade for Lillard and Celtics after KP signing.

Boston and OKC. OKC in particular scares me. All those young players taking a leap next year in the same conference as us is going to be interesting.

A team with Aleksej Pokuševski doesn’t scare me just yet.

I'll watch a bunch of Spurs basketball for Wemby, Nets for the Twins and if I have time, I'll watch Indy and OKC as two teams that could be a playoff team this year. I used to watch a lot of UFC which has events all throughout the year but my interest has dropped significantly over the last few years so I would say I tend to just watch more TV series during the dead of the offseason.
