I honestly don’t care at all about Thanasis being on the roster, but I’d bet a lot of people who were crying about Alex Lasry being employed because of his last name are the same ones who are fine with Thanasis being employed because of his. At least be consistent.

And before anyone says it’s different, it’s not. Neither person is/was qualified for his position.

It was quite a bit different. With the Thanasis situation, at least there is a substantial tangible benefit from his employ. Namely Giannis staying happy as a Buck.

I am okay with the org bringing back Thanasis if they feel he’s legitimately a positive for the team (vibes/locker room presence) and Giannis really wants him there.

What I disagree with is this dismissiveness regarding the last couple roster spots. We’ve seen too many examples of the top shelf organizations finding these unknown dudes off the scrap heap or in the G League or undrafted rookies and turning them into legit rotation players. While I get why they brought Thanasis back there is nothing wrong with others hoping they used that roster spot on a younger guy with flashes of being a real player.

I would suggest those people root for MJB, AJ Green, Dre, Livingston, and Omari Moore. I certainly don't dismiss those spots but we have to recognize that we have more in that particular cupboard than we've had in a long long time.

I think Orlando is going to dump Suggs for nothing like Reddish, Wiseman and Bagley. They have to make a decision on Fultz and my guess is they extend him. That leaves Suggs the odd man out, and considering his lackluster performance thus far it’s reasonable.

I would say clearly higher value than CP3. Despite his abomination of a series against Miami he was still an all-star and first team all-defense this past season and is still pretty much in his prime vs CP3 being several years past his. I’d want a pretty significant package for Jrue - I don’t think anyone’s giving up a “blue chip” prospect for him, but I’d expect at least a nice prospect with a pick, or multiple 1sts.

It took a lot for Milwaukee to get him almost three years ago -- Bledsoe, two firsts, pick swaps -- and I think he's worth more than that now. He was instrumental in winning a championship, and a couple of sketchy playoff performances since haven't diminished his value. I agree with Prez.

Not necessarily pushing back, but curious why you thinks he’s worth more now 3 years older and closer to the end of his contract/potential retirement?

Isn't Chris Paul even older, though? What we'd pay for CP has to be based on how little he's got left in the tank. Big gap between him and Jrue only gets bigger given how much good play Holiday's still got ahead of him. What's in it for the Bucks?
