Last summer for Franz and other European players was EuroBasket which is run by FIBA Europe and exclusive to European countries.

This summer is the FIBA World Cup.

Next summer is the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

The next EuroBasket is set for 2025. The next FIBA World Cup is set for 2027.

It's very likely that Franz will represent Germany for the next several summers in a row since he's the best active player from the country.

That's why I wanted Paolo to play for Italy's NT instead of USA.

What are chances for Paolo to be starter?

not very high imo....i believe Kerr is head coach, he prefers vets or experienced players so i wouldn't be surprised if he's coming off the bench

Tbh if i'm coach my starting 5 would be Haliburton, Edwards, Mikal, Ingram, Jackson anyway.

It's likely him not being a starter will prove better for his development than him being given a starting berth.

Let him learn and appreciate what he needs to do to reach tye next tier. Let him come back to Orlando having had a great experience but feeling it was unfinished business.

I like that SL talent wise but I wonder if SL would change depending on Matchup. Ingram is super weak for a power forward, but I don’t know if any other NT would be able to take advantage of lack of strength at the PF position for it to matter?

Not bad... although I would probably be 50/50 on Brunson with Hali... physical profile and everything shows Hali to have an advantage, BUT there is just something about Brunson that screams instant buckets and thus opening up the floor for the other team.

Brunson
Edwards
Bridges
Ingram
Jackson

Perfect mixed of offense/defense

Bench would be

Hali
Hart
Cam
Paolo
Kessler

Defensive team to hide their best lowspost offensive scorer or just to plugin the starters

Reaves
Portis

Could be be in warmups or plugging in the lineup depends on how the other 10 play

He's there for team USA. Both the national and select teams members are there. It's on the NBA app.

I am watching the clip of the scrimmage and Paolo is getting eaten on the defensive end. I really hope his defense improves during this experience.

The NBA app have a longer clip but I can’t seem to find a link. So glad that he get to be around these guys and grow with them.

I hope Franz is enjoying himself as well.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. These guys are probably going like <60% on the defensive end.
