Quick question

Would y'all rather have Anthony Davis at $60 mill or Ayton at half of that ?

Seems like a theoretical question, but in theory I would take a mix of them at 45 mill.
Preferably with DA's health and AD's brains - not the other way around.

There’s no way AD is worth almost double of what Ayton makes. I don’t like the idea of paying big money to any center honestly, unless it’s Jokic or Embiid.

We should cut Bol Bol after showing up with baggy sweatpants to a scrimmage.

I'm taking back my nomination for Bol Bol in that other thread after seeing him shoot some ugly jumpers in pants(1-5 from outside that I saw while fast forwarding thru the video). I'd like to see him matched against Wembanyama in a game for entertainment purposes. He'll not be a real contributor on this team.

On the surface maybe not, but who has the rings.

Is Durant worth 2x Bridges? I'd say yes for that reason.

It is. Zach Lowe and others confirmed he didn't lose it in the trade.

Heard a podcast with Landale about the past season with the Suns. He had some interesting points

- seemed to like Monty but really spoke highly of Mark Bryant as a coach and a person.
- wanted to return but only offered a minimum by the Suns which he was disappointed by since he felt like it didnt represent his market value or match the positive vibes he got from the Suns in the exit interview. I guess he was proven correct when the Rockets gave him a much bigger deal.
- said Torrey Craig was also disappointed by Suns not offering anything to him other than the min.
- rated Booker and CP3 as great competitors and leaders. Both guys competed hard and felt they had a chance no matter who was on the other tea, which provided a mental edge to the other Suns players.
- deleted his twitter midseason as the criticism from NBA twitter was killing his confidence. So yeah players do read this stuff and care
- DA - good guy and teammate but struggled in Nuggets series, which probably ended up helping Jock get paid.

Jock Landale was too up and down. I am not even sure if the Suns could have offered him more $$ than the minimum but don’t think he’s worth more than a minimum contract. He ended the season with the Suns on a high note but let’s not forget the times he played pretty bad throughout the regular season.

I think Drew Eubanks is a solid replacement. I think he will have more of an impact overall than Jock did. I wish Jock well, seemed like a solid dude and can tell had high work ethic. Players seemed to really like him, too.

I like Jock and wish him well but I think Eubanks is a slightly better player and I also understand the suns only offering the min considering their cap situation.

Seems like everything worked out for everyone here.

Mac McClung is short though for NBA player. Flagg has the height, but I don't see him being an all star! I see him being like that DICK in Toronto

Any other white guy comparisons you wanna throw out? Mike Miller? Larry Bird? Lou Amundson?

He plays like Dick though. Have you seen him. I would throw him being a Harrison Barnes type if you want me to mix up the racial comparisons!

Flagg also has incredible defensive instincts and timing. He put up 7 blocks per game at the last peach jam, kid is different. People wanna rag on his athleticism, which doesn't really matter if your footwork and playing the angles are on point, which it seems his are. I don't think he compares to anyone you've listed aside from being similar in stature.

Davis at 60. Booker, KD and AD is a dynasty. We won't even need Beal.

Ayton at $30 is still a huge unknown every time he plays.

Nuggets lose Cancar to ACL.

Their bench is now Jackson, Braun, Holiday, Watson, Nnaji plus 6 rookies.

There's nothing to me that's scary in the West if we are healthy and at our best.

I'll take Ayton+the extra guys we can get with that other 30M. Ayton is also significantly healthier than AD has ever been. Lakers will rue the day they signed Street Clothes to that contract.

That's a brutal bench. 1 injury to a starter and the nuggets are in trouble.

Our ceiling on paper is very high. But there is still a lot to prove given there's so many new guys on the team.

Clippers would be my biggest worry if they get Harden (picks and Mann)

Westbrook, Harden, George, Leonard, Zubac
Powell, Batum, Morris, Martin, Plumlee

Gives Lue a lot of weapons.

How do they get Harden while retaining what depth they have?

Also, Kwahi is done. I would bet my bottom dollar that he can not play through playoffs. We (or anyone) would have to be very-very fng unlucky to meet LAC in the second round (or conf finals) and have a healthy Kwahi (and George) to play against. 95% chance at least of that not happening.

(and I did like... well, not like but respect SA Kwahi and what he did in Toronto - was a "hired gunslinger" masterpiece there for their chip)
