The Stat only first started being tracked in the 1996-1997 season so this is the list since then for most Career Regular Season Dunks.
1 Dwight Howard 2950
2 Shaquille O’Neal 2626
3 DeAndre Jordan 2349
4 LeBron James 2088
5 Tyson Chandler 1735
6 Rudy Gobert 1732
7 Giannis Antetokounmpo 1598
8 Amar’e Stoudemire 1593
9 Andre Iguodala 1504
10 Shawn Marion 1482
11 Anthony Davis 1475
12 Kevin Durant 1392
13 JaVale McGee 1375
14 Pau Gasol 1374
15 Kevin Garnett 1344
16 Andre Drummond 1299
17 Kenyon Martin 1278
18 Clint Capela 1248
19 Nene 1224
20 Tim Duncan 1145
21 Dwyane Wade 1098
22 Blake Griffin 1094
23 Josh Smith 1069
24 Rasheed Wallace 1050
25 Rudy Gay 1045
I copied the top 25, for the full top 100 list that includes games, dunks attempted, and dunk percentage the link is below...
https://hoopmaestro.com/most-nba-dunks-career/
Some things that immediately stand out to me:
* Iggy at 6'6 reaching number 9 with over 1500 dunks is impressive
* Giannis jumped up the list quickly as to be expected with 2.8 dunks per game for his career so far.
* Shaq put up 3.1 dunks per game finishing at nearly 95% in 849 games. The stat wasn't recorded yet for his first couple seasons in the league.
* Howard was a beast inside as well with 2.7 dunks per game finishing at 93% on 1087 games.
* Lebron is still almost 900 dunks behind Howard so I can't see him ever catching the top spot on this list. But he might catch DeAndre Jordan for 3rd behind only Howard and Shaq which is pretty crazy.
* Wade at number 21 is just ridiculous and the only true guard in the top 25 with the next ones at 30th Kobe, and 33rd Vince Carter.
What stands out as interesting or impressive to you about this list?

Dominated by bigs. Lebron makes sense he's up there because of his longevity.
Iggy was one of my favourite dunkers but I'm still surprised he is so high up because he lost a lot of his athleticism late in his career.
Not completely surprising but Duncan's got to be an outlier in terms of a low percentage of his points scored off Dunks for 7 footers.

"Kevin Garnett is too low! He should be at least 9th!"

Re: The Updated Top 100 List For Career Dunks!
Wade... what a beast.
Gobert... lotta dunks for a guy no one thinks has any offensive value. If I remember correctly, both him and Giannis broke Wilt's record for most dunks in a season the same year. I believe Gobert finished ahead of Giannis by a handful of dunks to claim the crown for most dunks in a season. Seems a little weird that I'm naming a stat that, by the very basis of this thread... shouldn't even exist.
hmmm.

Shaq would definitely be 1st and if they went back throughout history I'm sure Wilt 2nd w/ Hakeem Barkley Dr J David Robinson Patrick Ewing on the List.
That said this is a great observation of just how dominant and underrated Dwight Howard was as an offensive force in the paint.
Nearly just as menacing to finish with a dunk as Shaquille.

He's 261 dunks behind DJ. Using his dunk average from the past 4 seasons, he'd need another 4 seasons without any decline to reach that. I don't see an age 42 Lebron getting another 60+ dunks and catching Deandre.

True that's a big gap still actually when looking at it closer, I agree that it's very unlikely he gets to 3rd lol.

Yep, Shaq played 295 games before this stat started being tracked over his first 4 seasons in the league. That's 915 dunks missing from the list if you go by his career 3.1 dunk per game average and likely more since those where young Shaq seasons. But yes Howard is impressive!
It's a shame dunks weren't tracked way further back, I'd love to know how many guys like Jordan, Hakeem, Wilt, Dr J, Kemp, Dawkins, etc, etc, would of put up...

There's also the fact that DJ is still playing as well. 60 dunks last year.

Wow I actually legit thought he was out of the league now or like a 15th man never playing
