It was a mistake for Nate not to play Delon.
It was a bigger mistake not to retain Delon in Free Agency last summer.

IIRC, Hart was Travis Schlenk's trade target a couple of years back. I do think Hart makes a perfect backcourt mate for Trae and would be much less expensive to attain and keep than DeJounte or Saddiq.

Preps to Pros isn't great for the NBA or the teens asked to carry a franchise while still in puberty.
Moses, Kobe, T-Mac and KG were exceptions to the rule, not the standard. The standard became pretty ugly when we actually were forced to watch them go through serious growing pains not just as players...but as humans.

Mfiondu Kabengele signs overseas. Do any of you think he showed enough to receive an NBA contract?

MK showed enough in the G-League last season.
Spoiler:
Kabengele was phenomenal in the G-League last season, but it's really notable that no NBA team even wanted him on their roster in the role of 3rd big man. I've been a defender of Mfiondu for years. I love his lineage as a nephew of Hawks great D Mutmobo. I love his skill set as a modern unicorn who can block shots and hit threes.
But I was woefully underwhelmed by Kabengele's stint during Summer League. I do think some of that was scheme/coaching because -- everyone on that team underwhelmed.
(Except Brady Manek and Vit Krejci.)

Josh Harris: Sixers Working To Convince James Harden To Stay With Sixers
AUG 22, 2023 10:55 AM
Josh Harris said the Philadelphia 76ers are continuing to work on convincing James Harden to remain with the franchise for the 23-24 season after they've been unable to find a workable trade.
“Listen, we’re hard at work,” Harris said Monday. “I respect James. I want to, obviously, accommodate what he wants. At the same time, I have to think about a championship-contending team, what we can get back. I’d love to convince him to stay. I understand that that’s not what he wants to do right now.
“I’m going to keep working to resolve it in a way that everyone can live with and is positive for everyone, whatever that resolution is. … I respect him as a basketball player, and as a person. It’s back to, these are, you’re dealing with people, right? And you’ve got to be there. We’ll see where it comes out.”
Harden attempted to increase the pressure on the Sixers to trade him by calling Daryl Morey "a liar" during an event in China.
The Sixers told Harden they intend for him to report to camp after the Los Angeles Clippers reportedly moved on from trade talks.

We need a consistent driver who can finish at the rim.

You’ve got to see the dynamics,” he said. “How the coach is going to be, how we’re going to be together. At the end of the day, I feel like all my teammates know and the organization knows that I want to win a championship. As long as we’re on the same page with that and you show me and we go together to win a championship, I’m all for it. The moment I feel like, oh, yeah, we’re trying to rebuild —”
He paused briefly before continuing.
“There will never be hard feelings with the Milwaukee Bucks,” he said. “I believe that we’ve had 10 unbelievable years, and there’s no doubt I gave everything for the city of Milwaukee. Everything. Every single night, even when I’m hurt. I am a Milwaukee Buck. I bleed green. I know this.
“This is my team, and it’s going to forever be my team. I don’t forget people that were there for me and allowed me to be great and to showcase who I am to the world and gave me the platform. But we have to win another one.”
He is halfway to his goal of playing 20 N.B.A. seasons, and he said he would like to spend them with one team, the way Dirk Nowitzki, Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan did.
“But at the end of the day, being a winner, it’s over that goal,” he said. “Winning a championship comes first. I don’t want to be 20 years on the same team and don’t win another championship.”

I'm glad to hear he got another gig after a roller coaster season in ATL.
