Do you go to UCLA? It's cool that NBA players practice and scrimmage there so often but wouldn't it get annoying that the courts are always in use

Yeah I’m doing my Doctorate there. I’m gonna try to see if I can catch them tomorrow

It’s usually just during the summer so it’s not really annoying. I actually saw Benedict Mathurin last week lol

Glad that Scottie and OG are both there.

Grange firing up the type writer to report on Siakam and Poeltl's absences. Dougie's new cabal.

He is able to officially sign an extension as of August 8th I believe so maybe he's there for media availability.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

That was Gradey with the pass there, right? Good drive and dish pass to the corner. More evidence that he's more than just a shooter.

One thing I learned watching summer league is Gradey is high IQ. He reads the game so well. He knows when to space out, when to cut, when to set a pick, when and where to pass. He rarely forces the issue or takes a bad shot. Him and Scottie are both high IQ and complement each others skill sets so well. You can't teach IQ. He is 19 and reads the game so much better than someone like Boucher who is 30. Gradey is so unselfish and picking him at 13 lets me know they really are building around Scottie and want to move far away from low IQ iso garbage we witnessed last year. Along with the positive energy and joy he brings to the game cause that was missing last year also.

he showed it in college too. he won't ever be your primary play maker but he's great at "filling in the cracks", if you will. he has great awareness and just consistently makes the right reads which ultimately helps a team.

in the short term i hope they install some sets that have him in motion on the weak side to allow a 2-man game on the opposite wing. it gives him an avenue to be a legit weapon or decoy to provide spacing for whoever has the ball. poeltl getting the ball in the high post is great too because dick can either come off screens, flare, cut back door, etc. and poeltl will find him.

defensively he has good instincts so i'm sure he'll play good team defense eventually but he's really going to have to show he can hold up 1v1, given how much of a "hunt mismatch" league this is.
