He's Kobe's disciple and a true professional, focus is on the game not the other peripheral stuff.

Don't have to worry about Book not being in shape or competing his hardest. I'll always be a fan.

Dude is just sure of himself. It's that quiet confidence that shows in his game and off the court. No flashy jewellery, all classic cars and the way he carries himself is just a pros pro. The word gets thrown around a lot but the guy is best described as old school

Did they have beef before this?

They got into it during the playoffs when we beat them with the Valley-oop!! Book and Paul jawed at each other after Cam Payne fouled him on a shot attempt and he got pissed. Book immediately started barking back at him.

"Old School Professionals" don't waste their time with Kardashians. Book was probably a small step away from appearing on that God forsaken show....

Ishbia gets major props from me for this. First thing I wanted a new owner to do was retire my two favorite Suns. A damn shame it wasn't done while Sarver was here. Sarver's a disgrace and an embarrassment.

Thank you, Mat!!!

How often did you see Amare or Marion at Suns games after they retired? Even Nash? Sarver ruined any kind of relationship with former players, and that developed a bad reputation for the Suns franchise.
Ishbia is doing everything right.

Kobe was definitely dedicated to his craft but I don't know if he was really a model of professionalism off the court. He was a straight up bad teammate especially early in his career and then there was the whole Denver rape thing.

Marion was/is still my favorite Suns player ever. Hopefully they have a night this season where they do the induction. Would love to go to that.

How awesome would Marion be on this team? He’d be the perfect 3/4 next to Durant.

It's awesome Amare and Trix is getting in. Ishbia is absolutely making all the right moves you expect from an owner who seems to respect traditions and the history of the Phoenix Suns. Amare was my second favourite player during that era of the Suns and thought he did enough to making the ROH. I thought Trix was a no-brainer given how good he was as a player and having played a decade for the Suns.

Great great moves all around

Amare was definitely my favorite player before Booker took over. I really can’t wait for both. I love Matt Ishbia.

They would be wise to split them up. Separate nights. Would be cool to see past SSOL members be there to watch.
Marion goes first as he was there first.

Here's a question.
Would you include Barbosa and D'Antoni?
Personally, I say yes. I know not everyone will agree though.

I created a separate thread about the RoH induction so it's in the history of threads AND before someone somewhere else does it :).
It's even in the General Board so we def want one here for historical purposes.

Beal - Paul
Okogie - Curry
Booker - Thompson
Durant - Wiggins
Ayton - Green

Would love to see Okogie draped on Paul for the heck of it even if his quickness might be better served chasing Curry. Just run old Paul into the ground opening night to make a point

Hounding CP3 all 94ft lol

That would be so Okogie and at the same time, so CP3 to walk the ball up with a defender on him in the back court.
