Did he reference Jaylen’s career playoff scoring average? [He said 18.5ppg, JB’s career playoff average is 18.2 per bballref https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/brownja02.html]

If so: that’s weird. Why do that? The last three playoffs Jaylen has averaged 22, 23, and 23ppg.

For whatever reason I’ve never liked Rick Barry and this reinforces that. Wait: I bet I don’t like him because I’m still salty about his son Jon spurning the Cs (refusing to sign with them after being drafted 21st overall) and his other son being a **** dunk contest winner:)

Man, R. Barry 4th all time in NBA FT%. I always knew his rep a little more than directly about him. Also led the league in scoring one year and then led the league in steals another year when he was older.

Anyways some good natured trash talk is fine with me, let's get that motivation going. Show him what's up JB!

Jon Barry was a bum. However, a lot of the **** that happened was even before Paul Gaston was the owner this is a team that never wanted to spend. So its difficult for me to get mad at the guy for asking for what he thought he was worth.

Maybe this time Brad will be willing to tank.

No....no.... I dont think so.
Brad Stevens on fans who want the Celtics to tank: "I don’t think they’ll like me all that much then."

My thoughts - other than financial reasons, I see no benefit of rushing the process with him. He is a very talented "boy" still and expediting the Process may turn out to be not beneficial.. Not saying it will end up bad, and maybe he handles it fine. But there are already some who think CF will be a generational level prospect. The hype machine gets out of control. Emoni Bates was touted as the next KD since 9th grade. Considered the best prospect of any class in 4 years of HS. He went what 48Th pick??

I hope that Cooper just keeps doing what he has been doing and stays grounded. He should be a solid Pro regardless.
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

If Harden is in fact off the table, Brogdon to the Clips could become a thing again.

If they want Brogdon, and he's healthy enough to play, the offer starts with Norman Powell

I like Powell enough, but what are we going to do at PG? White, Pritchard, Banton? Think we need a strong bench 1 (brogdon) more than we need Powell.

For a second there, I thought there was a Celtics game on.

Brogdon/Rob for Harden.

White
Harden
Jaylen
Tatum
Porzingis

I can’t remember the posters name, but that fella who always wanted Harden would be happy. The Encore would love it, Harden one of their favorite visitors.

In this summer league footage, he kinda reminds me of a cross between Jay Scrubb and JD Davison. Let the competitive juices flow in Maine!

I wouldn’t take Harden on the Celtics for the vet min.

Technically the GS pick could be as high as #2 in 2025. It’s top 4 protected this year so if somehow it gets that high this year and rolls over…

It seems like the Brogdon to Clippers talks came to pretty much a complete halt when:

a) Clippers got freaked out about Brogdon's injury and backed out of trading for him in the initial Porzingis deal
b) Clippers then resigned Westbrook, so now have less of a need for Brogdon
c) Celtics traded Smart, alleviating the backcourt logjam, so now have less of a need to trade Brogdon
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)
