Re-classifying to 2024, meaning he'll be in the 2025 draft class.

Basically as young of a prospect as you can get. Turns 19 on the draft year on December 21st.

Which is definitely something to look at compared to some of the past OAD prospects. Brandon Miller and the Thompson twins will be 21 during their rookie years.

what teams do people envision tanking for Cooper? Most of the bad teams have had years of drafting high and are flooded with young talent so I'm not sure any have excuses to tank not only this season but next as well.

Some teams that are going to compete this season. Next offseason and the next two trade deadlines will be fun.

Really all depends. We still have to see how this year plays out, then the offseason. There no doubt will be some young teams that swung and missed on their high draft picks in the last couple years who would like to get him. And wont be shocked to see like a Portland or another team like that who will look for a guy like Flagg for a great rebuilding piece.

I think Scoot will be great. I'll keep it short so not to turn this into a Dame thread but Dame trade = picks only, we are anticipating Grant might be traded mid-season (or some of us are hoping), and right now we have no center besides Jusuf who is probably gone in a Dame trade. Unless we strike an absolute killer in 2024 draft + free agency, I anticipate us at least another two years in the lottery. And honestly I'd prefer this as a possibility, because one thing we did terribly wrong was not tanking in 2015-2016 after we lost LMA.

Ya in the long haul, if it’s clear they’re not ready to make a nice run in the playoffs, I don’t think it’s really a bad idea to kind of let off the gas so to speak for a year if it means the chance to get a guy like Flagg.

Just look at OKC. Even with Shai and Giddey, still were in position to grab Chet. Then throw in great drafting with a steal like Jaylen Williams. OKC is looking real damn god going forward.

I’m definitely expecting midway through the 2024-2025 season. We will see a good amount of teams having star players having “nagging” injuries and the teams being “cautious” with those injuries haha. And ya if Flagg lives up to the hype, I don’t think the fans of those teams will mind at all haha.

- Washington
- Chicago once they move on from their current core
- Portland if they properly rebuild around Scoot
- Clippers if they move on from Kawhi/PG
- Charlotte if Miller busts
- Detroit if Cade doesn’t turn into a star
- Utah if they don’t overachieve again this year
- Brooklyn if their current mini-rebuild isn’t good enough yet

A lot of “ifs”, but some of them will happen.

He is a white guy but he reminds me of a young KG or Rasheed

He reminds me of Amare.. but has a defensive acumen and a jump shot.. He could be AD, but doesn't have that type of size.. Maybe Shareef Abdur-Rahim or Rasheed, but Sheed was almost 7' himself

I like the young KG comparison. You should look at his high school numbers. KG basically averaged 25/18/6/6 in high school.

KG was 7'1 with crazy length.. Flagg will top out at 6'9
