doesn't really seem like there is a lot of good **** out there unless teams over pay ALOT. kind of glad the brewers aren't overpaying... however, i think this off season we all know burnes is prolly gone, yelich regained his form and I'd wonder if they explored a trade to maximize value since the farm is loaded with OF prospects.

Verlander cost the Astros their first rounder from last year and #1 prospect, a likely solid every day OF in Drew Gilbert. That's a tough pill to swallow for a 40 year old showing his age.

Also gave up their #4 prospect.

Ouch.

Sox got Eder for Burger. Know he was rumored to us but the price tag like that is to high.

What an efficient no-no. 93 pitches. That ruled.

I saw we grabbed Jake Cousins off waivers, any info about him? I've never seen him pitch so I'm curious if he's worth a damn. Looks like he gets a lot of K's but also walks too many hitters.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

His cousin is Kirk Cousins and the best way to describe him would be the Kirk Cousins of middle relievers.

Apparently this overreaction is not surprising to those in the know. Some audio from local BAL sports talk and their Athletic beat writer.

Um, this Wander Franco situation is wild. Pic surfaced of him with a girl who is allegedly...14. He is done if true. There is some speculation on the girl's actual age but its not looking good for him.

If true he'd likely go to jail right? What a sad ending to such a promising career.

Also the Rays would be absolutely wrecked for the next decade. He's on the books until 2032 for what would basically be over 1/3 over their payroll, for a guy who won't even play for them. Absolutely insane
Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

I would imagine there's conduct clauses in his contract that let the Rays get out from under his deal if he doesn't play for them again.
