I was just laughing cuz after 20 some years of marriage i’ve been conditioned to believe anything you say after a “but” may as well be the opposite of what you say before the but. For instance, “I was mostly joking but not really joking” or the big one, “I’m sorry but I’m not sorry”. I still get caught that web from time to time.

Plossum wrote:I was mostly joking about Harden for Midds, but I'd say if there was an offer on the table for a straight swap between the two, it's at least a genuine conversation in the front office.

Harden has his warts, we've all seen them: he's out of shape, can't play D, is a perennial playoff choker, and seems to like requesting trades as much as he likes making it rain at strip clubs.

But he's still a good player. He's not close to an MVP level dude anymore but he's still around that top 30 type guy. Put up 20/6/11 last year with the 6ers on great efficiency. He'd easily be the best playmaking guard Giannis has played with and would get him a lot of easy buckets. Our defence is elite enough to cover he deficiencies.

I love Midds and what he has given the Bucks, but it's hard to know what he's got left in the tank as a high level guy. Series vs the Heat was encouraging but the injuries are piling up and he def feels like a guy who's on the downward slide of his career.

Ultimately Harden is a bit of a dick so you prob don't do it, but I think it's worth considering. There aren't many deals out there where we could get a better player back for Midds, but the Harden one might actually deliver that.

Even if the front-office would pretend to entertain such a trade scenario, the second they bring it up to Freak he's nixing it instantly.
"Wes, Hill, Ibaka, Allen, Nwora, Brook, Pat, Ingles, Khris are all slow-mo, injury prone ... a sandcastle waiting for playoff wave to get wrecked. A castle with no long-range archers... is destined to fall. That is all I have to say."-- FOTIS

Of their first 7 road games the only one against a team above .500 is Brooklyn who was under .500 post KD and Kyrie trades

I don't hate the tougher end to the season. Gets the team a little more honed in before playoffs, but does scare me as injuries can be more likely when things are more competitive, and also it could hurt us seeding wise. Then again, I don't give a rats ass about seeding except for finishing top 3.

We went into the playoffs the top seed and healthy. And got bounced. I'm not going to sweat the regular season.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

The Regular season is meaningless, getting a top 6 seed is all I care about. The only 2 real noteworthy games to me are the opener & Christmas day. I'll obviously watch more but last year really was the straw the broke the camels back for me as far as actually caring about our record

Yeah, maybe this year we will be the 4 seed and lose to the 5 seed instead.

Yeah last season showed there's zero point GAF about the RS, only thing to play for is Giannis getting MVP but media won't ever give it to him again anyway so load manage away. NbA sucks now for sure, hopefully the playoffs last a little longer for us next year.

Not sure why Miami would be your model for taking the regular season seriously.

Were we really healthy midds was close to 100% IMO and within what the 1st 9 minutes of game 1 giannis gets hurt.Im not sure how healthy we really were.Heat lost herro but we had a lousy series from bud on down. Not sure which series was more brutal in terms of coaching the toronto series boston or heat all 3 sucked egg water

Browsing the schedule and noticed neither of out matchups with Denver are nationally televised again. A massive miss for the league. Also for the first time in awhile a game against the Warriors will just be a local broadcast.

Bumming the regular season and kicking it up a notch come playoff time is not a real strategy for a contending team. The bucks should be able to coast to a top 3 seed and avoiding a top seed isn’t going to fix our playoff woes. We need more shot creation and really, just better play from our stars to go on another deep run. When’s the last time we’ve had a champion that wasn’t a good to great regular season team?

I mean... Depends on your definition of good to great.

Bucks were the three seed, as was Golden State two years ago.
Amos Barshad: "So you got a job, a place to live, a license? What’s left?"

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”
