A quick look gave me 10 B2B this year (12 last year). Assuming there are none the week of the tournament semis/finals. Celtics have 12 this year. Heat 10. I calculated quickly so those numbers may be off.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Another young point to potentially take a look at.

I just don’t get this idea that the regular season doesn’t mean anything. If anything the bucks haven’t cared much about the regular season in years and it still hasn’t made them a better playoff team like some seem to think it does. The goal should be to get as high a seed as you can while resting and staying healthy. If a team can’t do that then they’re probably not a good enough team anyway.

We just saw an 8 seed in the Finals & a 7 seed in the WCF. If anything as Bucks fans we've learned the hard way that the RS basically means nothing. In the last 5 years we had the best record 3 separate times but never made the finals in those seasons. The year we did make the Finals we were a 3 seed.

A 3 seed is a high seed. LA and Miami’s runs aren’t anything to try to replicate. Miami was just the one seed the season before, and LA tried very hard in the regular season but just sucked til they overhauled the roster and got healthy.

Good regular season teams win championships in the nba. Trying to avoid a top seed does nothing. The bucks have been load managing and **** around to 50+ wins for years and if they can’t anymore, then the postseason won’t matter to us either because we won’t be going far.

I don't think anybody is talking about actively avoiding a top seed, but it's not necessary to try and go all out for the 1 seed either. The difference between the top 4 seeds at this point is fairly minimal. It sucks for the regular season but load managing is effective, there is a reason basically every single team in the NBA does it now

I would tend to agree with this. I just can't see us going into the season with our backup PG being 2 way guys

Eh did we really have a back up PG last year? We had Jevon but i think he played more SG than point. AJ Green could cover the amount that Jevon ran the offense. Also Middleton only played 33 games. I think Jackson covers the Jingles void. I think we have no need to be desperate to fill back up pg spot on tge roster

It's not the offensive side of the ball that I'm necessarily talking about. Jevon didn't initiate the offense, but he certainly defended other teams PGs. I'm not sure anyone on our roster can defend quicker PGs in the league besides Jrue.

If AJJ can't guard point guards then I'm not sure what they drafted him for?

I think seeding still matters. It certainly helped the heat that they had to play the knicks in the 2nd round while the celts got tied up in a long 7 game series with philly.

Denver had one of the easiest cakewalks ever to the Finals/title entirely because they earned the 1-seed. LA and Miami scraping their way through some flawed and injured teams only to get absolutely run out of the gym by an actual top-tier contender isn't really compelling evidence to me that having a great regular season record and a top-seed somehow doesn't matter anymore.

Will be interesting to see if this is the first season in awhile that half our team isn't banged up by the 4th game of the season now Bud is no longer the head coach.

Out of curiosity, what's your theory here? Seems most fans are upset at how little Bud used his players. Are you saying he pushed them too much?

I know there were complaints when bud started resting his players alot last 2 weeks of the season when the starting 5 barely played all tear mentioned thst on NBA radio questioned the thinking on why you rest now instead of getting in playoff form by playing your starting 5 more.

And a very healthy midds finally from what i have read would be awesome to see a 2021 version of him

I'd give him a camp deal but it's pretty much a death sentence for a 1st-round pick to get straight up waived before they even have the chance to pick up your 3rd year option. Thankfully we drafted Marjon (I know TyTy had some fans here).

If the team looks like they care I'll be on board for caring about the regular season too.

Yeah, was thinking maybe Ex.10, let him sort out who's better with Gort and Wiggs. Would prefer Chandler but all young players with NBA tools are welcome.

They have no room for him, probably a favor to his agent to get an opportunity someplace with fewer guards, or at least fewer young guards.

Yeah, I know nothing about Ty Ty specifically, but OKC has had sooooo many picks, you could be a decent prospect and still get waived. They really need to consolidate.

That said, I agree that straight up waiving him is a bad sign.

The thunder still have 18 players on guaranteed contracts after waiving Ty

I have a bad feeling we might be relying on Lindell Wigginton for significant backup PG minutes early in this season. He’s even talked about having a bigger role this year.
