Another window is at next offseason, if nothing fruitful comes out of that max cap space

He has been patient enough. I still hope Morey can pull a rabbit out of his hat but Harden leaves and if we can't attract a star next offseason then expecting him to play on a rebuilding non-contending squad is not fair to either party. Just wish we had someone as GM to do the deals. Morey doesn't do rebuilds.

No offense to you, but that whole line of thinking is one of the reasons I've become so turned off on pro sports. He's "given the Sixers more than enough opportunity". He's been "patient enough". It's not "fair" to him?
You act as if he hasn't been paid more than $170 million for his "patience and understanding" with another $213 mil still on the way for his troubles in the next four years. That's $380 million plus for a guy who hasn't exactly done his part in a lot of big spots that could have elevated this franchise to a Finals or beyond.
I'll always love Embiid for his time here, but if he ever demanded a trade, I'd want him out of here ASAP. Please spare me 'the Sixers owe him' stuff. He big time owes the Sixers a playoff run where he puts the team on his back and carries them to the finish line instead of shrinking in the biggest spots and pointing his finger afterward.

I am not saying the Sixers owe him anything. I am not sure why it's in quotes when I never said it.
But it's also not fair to ask Embiid at age 29 with probably 2-3 years max left of MVP-level performance to sit through a rebuild. If he still wants to be a sixer at that point that is great but if we aren't interested in winning anymore then it makes sense to move on for both parties.
It's why for me anyways its incumbent on Morey to find a way to find someone else to pair him up in the offseason since Harden isn't an option for multiple reasons.

This city has been extremely patient with his injuries, extremely tolerant of his immaturity and periodic laziness, and has been almost non-critical of his horrific playoff failures.

True. There are only two fanbases in the league that think he's even good.

Second one?
