Is the run over for the Bahamas now?

The national team advanced to next year’s Olympic qualifying tournaments July 2-7 with the winners of those tournaments earning a spot in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Fun while it lasted I guess. I can't see them beating Team USA (and probably some others)

They need to win another small tournament to go to the Olympics. That tournament will be played July 2-7 and there will be 5 teams.

One from Asia.
One from Africa.
One from America (Bahamas).
Two from Europe.

Out of those 5 teams one will play in the Olympics.

Only 12 teams will participate in the Olympics so the level of competition is really high. With Bahamas out of the World Cup that's the only way to go in for them.

Cameroon, Poland, Bahrain, and Croatia, are all very beatable. Bahamas has a legit shot.

Croatia is clearly the toughest opponent for the Bahamas.

The Oklahoma City Thunder has waived forward Usman Garuba, team says.

This is an interesting young small C that could help us defensively and is a nice high-post distributor.

I doubt that we are interested, but I prefer him to Wainright.

I’m gonna lose my sh** when media days rolls around and there’s a picture of Gordon, Beal, Booker, Durant and Ayton with the Suns new unis. Really can’t wait for the season.

Way to be subtle DA.

You don't make a comment about teammates like that for the sole reason of avoiding it being misconstrued. This dude really needs media lessons - he continues to put some stupid ish out there sometimes.

Definitely some low key shade there.

Dude you are such a crybaby. You cry about anything Ayton related. Move on ! We all know you are a hater

Dude said these teamates were playing for their country and that’s what makes them great. He has been a good locker room guy and his teamates like him! You don’t, and we don’t care

As a side note -

Man Eric Gordon is looking like a motherfreakin' STEAL right now and really sures up that 6th man spot. I just hope this isn't an aberration from playing against crappy international talent.

I imagine this is why we dealt away Payne. If Gordon plays like this, where would Payne's minutes come from? Injury replacement at best. I still think we should have kept him but it was probably for tax reasons.

EDIT: Fixed typo

Absolutely.

I think that we did the right move trading Payne. Eric Gordon is even at his age way better than him and then we got Jordan Goodwin to play minutes as a backup PG too.

Eric Gordon has crazy strength and a wide body and that paired with his elite skills and shooting makes him a tough cover for everyone and is a good defender. Sometimes you just can't move the guy... he is just 6'3-6'4 but weights 238 lbs.

Booker, Durant, Beal, Gordon, Ayton

Be interested to see who steps up as role players. Would be awesome for a guy like Goodwin or Camara pop since they are on slightly longer contracts.

Completely forgot about Goodwin. We talk about all the vet-min signings that can contribute in different ways but we got Goodwin before them and he has solid upside.

I think Gordon has to come off the bench. To start the season at least. Better balance and he, more than anyone on this team, will need the rest come playoff time.

Gordon / Beal / Booker / KD / Ayton will be the Suns death lineup utilized in 4th quarters I imagine. Gordon helps spread the floor, and this gives one on one opportunities to the rest of the squad. No one will beat this unit.

That death line up would be damn hard to stop offensively and I also think there's enough defense even with 3 guards out there to be passable on that end

I agree he will come off the bench but he will play major minutes so I don't consider him a role player. I expect he will get on the order of 25 minutes per game.

I imagine everyone else (role players) will see less than 20 minutes a game.

Eubanks 16
Okogie 15-20
Bates-Diop 15-20
Watanabe 15-20
Metu ?

Blow out minutes unless they make big strides or injuries set in
Bol-Bol
Camara
Goodwin
Damion Lee
Wainwright

Return to Phoenix Suns
