every players gets scored at pepe.pepe1991 wrote:fendilim wrote:pepe1991 wrote:Don't fool yourself, Jett Howard was constant target on defensive side at college because he has very limited latheral quickness & lacks elite athletics & lenght to cover up.
Franz was never exploited on defense in ways Jett was at college. And nobody in right mind will come to conlcusion Franz is "elite" defender, he is average one.
And it's not like anybody questions his desire to defend, it's simply him being below average athlete that was on display even at college. Now NBA players are x50 times faster , more atlhetic and there is more space to guard.
Okeke was "great" defender with limited athletics at college, than he went to NBA and he looks like poop because his latheral quickness simply doesn't allow him to stick against people who make adventage over him in matter of 2 steps.
Being SF in nba means that on "easy" night you have some Kyle Kuzma who averages 20 ppg to cover. It's easly the most stacked position in basketball , talent vise.
And i don't know what's there to evalauate in SL, we brought most pathetic team of SL out there, we were getting blown up, it was pathetic open practice that i'm trying to forget happend.
These numbers look even more impressive then…

Who said he is an elite defender?
He literally struggles to defend narrow space and poorly spaced college hoops and will now play against faster, bigger, stronger athletes regardless of is he playing SG or SF.
But lets not act like those highlights contradicts those numbers per synergy. Those numbers do suggest that Jett howard gets scored at TOO, and those possessions in the video are most definitely the same plays referred to by synergy.
Who is claiming he is an elite defender though? Because i haven’t seen anyone saying he is an elite defender, contrary to your claims.
