One thing I noticed while on social media is that the younger generation doesn't really care for single player games that some of us older gamers long for. It was a bit of an awakening. They'd rather have their free run-of-the-mill games like Fortnite, Warzone, and others along with their yearly sports games. The younger generation doesn't mind with micro-transactions like me, and I find myself to be more in the "vocal minority" group. They'll pay $70 for a game and then without question pay $50 more for a battle pass. Proud of myself though, I think I've spent a combined $20 total on mtx stuff and to be honest its mostly on a few Clash of Clans purchases I'm not proud of.

I don't have a problem with MTX that I feel is done relatively fairly. I'm totally fine with how POE does it truthfully, where the game is entirely free and MTX cannot buy you power in anyway - cosmetic only. I've spent a couple hundred on points over the years, which I feel good about in supporting a (previously) indie studio with a game I've played 3000 hours for 5 years. It's probably the best money:time ratio I've ever had  Their system isn't perfect - they still make you login to public spaces before you go to your hideout so you get everyone's pretty cosmetics shoved in your face - but in the grand scheme of things it feels quite innocent.

There was a great GS Spot On about MTX a few weeks ago when the D4 bull **** happened (shoutout to the Spot On crew btw, they rock). Acknowledges the challenge with live service games, discusses manipulative UI, "packs", F2P games vs. buy AND MTX, etc.

Age of Empires IV gets a stealth launch today on Game Pass. Very psyched, I loved AoEII.

Co-op Vampire Survivors is pretty fun. I like to crank up the curse and see how much we can handle.

Never thought I would say it, but there are legitimately too many good new games right now.

I ordered Armored Core a couple weeks ago when a digital download went on sale for $45. Got my code today, downloaded it, and I'm already playing, which is weird, considering the game doesn't go live until tomorrow.

I really want to play Cyberpunk finally when the new DLC and all the fresh gameplay changes happen. But hell if I know when it'll actually happen.

With everything else coming out I haven't been keeping up with the DLC and changes, but I know I'm gonna check it out at some point this winter. Cyberpunk rips.

I don’t have any another explanation. It was $15 off on a sketchy site a couple weeks before its release. There was no preload like I’m seeing everywhere else. I’m apparently the only one playing right now

Waiting on AC6 opinions from the board. I’m under the impression right now that this one was fine for me to skip.

The initial release was buggy, but there was the potential for a great game there. It was honestly pretty fun even with all the issues. I'd be really surprised if the 2.0 release (which is what they are calling this) isn't a homerun. It is basically an entirely new game from minute to minute with all the changes they've made.

I can't give it a thumbs up or down yet. Have only beaten the first boss and that took me longer than it should have.

I'm looking forward to really being able to customize the mech. Everything seems really loose right now.
