Welcome, Jay!

I actually bookmarked surf's facebook profile back when he posted it going on one of his crazy rants. Should I try to contact him and invite him here?

He’ll get to 1,500 lbs before he gets 1,500 yards.

He was already halfway there when he was with Dallas

It’s not too hard to be better than the last guy. Washington might end up being a respectable team again sometime in the next 30 years

Unless something changes it looks like it’s going to be Brandon Aubrey. If (big if) they sign a veteran kicker it won’t be until after week 1 when their salary will be non-guaranteed.

Devonta smith has nearly 180 catches, 2,400 receiving yards and 13TDs in his first 2 years (including playoffs). So many people doubted him. Hell, I remember some rival fans actually happy the eagles drafted him because they thought he’d for sure be a bust..

I didn't think he would be as good as he has been so quickly (I thought he'd need to bulk up a bit), but I didn't doubt he would eventually be very good.

I can't tell if they are not having him kick in games because they aren't confident in him or if they just want to work on 4th down offense. They had a chance to kick a 40-something yard field goal last game and didn't take it. He did make all of his XPs right down the middle.

Yea I thought he’d be too frail for the NFL. At this rate though he’s on a HOF trajectory.

Yea I’m honestly not sure what they have planned at kicker or why they’re not allowing him to kick FG’s. One of the strangest things I’ve seen them do in a while.

I mentioned this when he was drafted but his body type and play style are similar to Marvin Harrison. Thing with Marvin Harrison though is he played borderline elite football until he was like 35. At that time a player made a dirty play on him and he injured his knee. Besides that, Harrison had a career that was mostly injury free or at least free from injuries that prevented him from playing football. That’s the question I have for devonta, can he play well into his mid 30s and avoid injuries? Desean jackson was a guy that was also small but once he got into his 30s injuries started piling up and as a result, not as effective.

I’m similarly confused about the eagles punter situation. There was a key play in the Super Bowl where siposs shanked a punt and as a result the return man got a clean look and returned the ball all the way down to the 5 yard line, resulting in a key TD a few moments later. I thought for sure the eagles would replace siposs, but all they did was bring in an UDFA to compete with him and both looked bad in training camp. Honestly the main concern I have for the eagles after the offseason they had.lol

I didn't put too much on it,in our HS powerhouses in So cal, theres a school called LB Poly. They produced this kid named Desean Jackson. Small, tiny. But lightning quick. If this guy made it in Philly, I knew THEY KNEW, that size wasn't a factor

Kickers/punters are being treated like RB’s now days. I guess they figure that kickers don’t make a big enough impact on the outcome of a game to deserve a decent sized contract. You’re better off getting someone super cheap. I mean we’ve seen “good” kickers get the yips. Dallas had a really good kicker for 98% of the season last year and then all of sudden dude couldn’t even make simple extra point kicks. Why spend money on a dude that’s probably going to **** the bed anyways.
