Pound for pound goat
I will list everybody that is included in the argument.
MJ. Mj is mostly recognized as the goat. He's a lot better than anyguy his size or smaller, and the guys closest to him are a lot bigger than him.
Curry. Curry is a whole lot better than anyone smaller than 6'4, and he's arguably the closest to mj as far as 6'7 and smaller. in the tier of west, oscar robertson and kobe, but quite a lot smaller than them, so that's another obvious one.
Chris Paul, leaving out iverson and pistons thomas. This will probably be controversial because you are stupid. Thomas, paul and iverson are around the same height. Thomas and iverson are skinnier, but in basketball is more inch for inch than pound for pound. Anyway, the difference in value is bigger than the difference in pounds, because chris paul is a lot higher than those 2 in an all time list. for me paul is around 25, thomas 45 and iveson 55, something like that
Muggsy Bogues. So, i can't mention guys like calvin murphy, slater martin, thomas that are like a couple inches shorter than paul but not nearly as good, we have to go to the super small guy. Bogues is probably the best 5'8 and under player ever. He played like 15 seasons in the nba, and he was a serious, impactful player.
This is the whole list, like, if it was a serious topic, no other answers could be accepted.

I hate questions like this because it's irrelevant to how good you were at basketball, and is always invoked to hype up an inferior player. Are you shots worth more points if you weighed less?

I hear that goat price per pound is in the neighborhood of 4-6 USD.
Isn't that what this is all about?

Not sure Muggsy was the lightest player ever, he was built strong. Inch for Inch goat, probably.

One database listed the recently deceased Penny Ann Early (Hill) as having the lowest listed primary/lower weight (114lbs) in her case with no other weight given.
I think it's men's league database.
She subbed into and out of an ABA game as a gimmick.
Lightest actually playing the game player is Spud Webb at 130 and his alternate/secondary (135) is lighter than all but Boykins's primary/lower (133 - his higher is 145, Bouges is 136 to 144). Other (sometimes "maybe", or suggested unofficial) sub-6fters: Murphy is 165, Brandon is 173-180lbs. Both Isiah (180-185) and Isaiah (185 from Wikipedia and Reference) are heavier than Paul (175 via Reference, database and Wikipedia).
This list is I think is maybe from circa 2010 otoh. It has some leagues that might not be considered major leagues in. It doesn't list Barney Sedran (Wikipedia calls 5ft 4in, 115lbs).
I think it depends what you mean.
It seems like its basketball goodness divided by weight but what are the scales ... could it be a baby (if you don't calibrate them right ... or your team just legally needs a 5th human on the court)? What's the minimum level of basketball goodness required?

West should make this clearly imo. Jordan was built like a damn ox and very functionally strong (sort of like mini Raps/Clips Kawhi with much better decision making chops and a handle), so he isn't really somebody I'm considering here. Along with West, Bogues and Curry would be my top 3. Paul and Nash would be next - closing out with Zeke and Iverson (that's all unless somebody skipped my mind).

"Pound for pound" is such a daft starting premise. Just say "best little guy who wasnt actually as good as the bigger dudes."

Ya he probably weighed as much as Mark Price or Isiah did and no one is going to compare them as players.

Re: Pound for pound goat
Curry's 6'2 and he's probably a top 10 player ever by the time he retires. Don't really have to imagine with him. CP3's the better all-around player but I'm not sure what adding three inches to his height really does for him. If you make them the same height, Curry's still better.

Also pound for pound doesn't make any sense in a sport without weight classes like basketball.
Height is a benefit to basketball but there are always pros and cons, someone Embiids size could never move like Steph can, thus he could never get off the same style shots. In Boxing/MMA it's more straight forward that the larger weight class fighter will almost always beat the smaller weight class fighter in a fight, which is why P4P lists exists in those sports.

No but it can make what they do more impressive. Isaiah Thomas' 18 season is one of the most miraculous feats in basketball in my opinion, even if it isn't like a top 50 peak ever. It's just being a fan of the game.

I don't tune into the Olympics hoping to see a 1 armed weight lifter lose because it's 'more impressive' how he lost. If you wanna watch empty flash go to a Globetrotter game.

I’m sure you’re fun at parties. Could’ve used you at a last few of my friends’.

I can't really talk, because I'm corny.
However, the NBA is literally entertainment too. Like the NBA literally legislates the games, based off what they believe the fans like. Hence, why the impressiveness in how the game of basketball is played does matter in a sense.

L joke unfortunately
cut "i hear that" and "isn't that what this is all about" and it's solid
edit: okay maybe use active phrasing too
something like "a pound of goat costs 4-6$ in poland"

Per above ... not really.
As noted Bogues isn't the lightest but is significantly lighter than the alternatives here one database gives
Bogues: 136-144
Thomas: 180-185
Price: 170-180
