Well, we better win a championship this season. Not like that’s too much pressure for a new head coach, haha.

I mean, is there anything new here? He's been totally consistent with all this stuff.

Seems pretty clear he's going to give the Bucks every opportunity to demonstrate they can continue to contend. It's on Horst and Co. to figure it out. They're not oblivious.

Exactly. Nothing new. It's not like the team is now saying "Holy cow, I guess we better try to win another championship!"
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Gonna make draft scouting a lot easier the next couple years (because we won't have any picks).

I also feel like Giannis does his part to perpetuate this stuff being recycled over and over again the way he handles these interviews/questions. I don't know why he feels the need to do that. We know he wants to win. We know the organization is well aware of what's at stake. We know the media looking for any excuse to push the Giannis is going to leave angle. He doesn't have to give them any extra ammo.

Just enjoy the next year or two. Every contender goes through a cycle of contending and rebuilding, just comes with it. I’m glad we actually got to win it all instead of wondering what could’ve been after the dust settles. Giannis owes the bucks nothing, the bucks owe Giannis nothing.

Im going to assume that he signs the extension first before making a decision.

I'm not saying it's right, or any less frustrating as a fan, but being public with these comments every so often likely continues to apply additional pressure to the org. Or at least it does in his or his agent's mind. Very public posturing/PR.

Classic Giannis offseason interview.

He can do what he wants, but as a fan, I'd be lying if I didn't say the waffling back and forth gets a little annoying. He obviously doesn't "Bleed Green" if every other offseason he's thinking about what other teams can do to help further his championship odds if he joined them, rather than what he can do to help his own franchise further their odds. Could have been trying to recruit players here if he really wanted to stay competitive. Use all the tools at your disposal.

That is a weirdly specific thing to say. Not sure I love publicly throwing a little shade at your teammates unprompted, but maybe I'm taking it the wrong way.

Agreed, that did kind of pop out. The bright side is that if we don't win it this year, that may be considered a green light to trade Jrue, Middleton or even Brook.

Imagine being any other teammate reading the sacrifice your family part…

Giannis is so bad at trying to play the game.

Would it also be a greenlight to hire a GM who doesn’t roll into a season with Wigginton as the backup PG?

Maybe, but I am fairly confident Horst is an average GM. Jevon Carter was one foot out of the league, Bobby probably closer to playing in China, Grayson was had for Merrill and some seconds. I think I will just wait and see what we end up with, probably too many teams waiting on Dame to be moved before they pull the trigger on other moves.

Curiously timed.

We think Giannis wants us to make a win now move the team isn’t sure about?

Yeah I’m trying to figure out what he’s trying to accomplish here. The other angle I guess is maybe he’s worried about ownership getting cheap.
