They can beat everyone and be defeated by anyone!

They should be better, but we have serious management's problems. No competition to get into the last 12
LA 2028 (Starters):
Francisco - Strazel - Malédon - Traoré ?
Coulibaly - Fournier
Risacher - Cordinier
Yabusele- Hoard - Essengue/Penda?
Wembanyama - Lessort - Raynaud / Beringer /Sarr?

Canada shows what happens when some of their best actually play in these tournaments. Reality check.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

Not sure what this French team looks like with Embiid and Wemby in the Olympics next year.

These games do count towards Olympic qualifying, if memory serves, so teams do have to make do with not their best at times to even reach the next level.

It does! There are 7 teams from the Americas at the World Cup and the top 2 finishers from Americas get a spot in the Olympics

France supposed to had huge frontcourt advantage, but their guards were shut down so bad, they created nothing. Outside NBA guys, Lessort at C, Yebuselles at PF are some of the best there is at their position outside NBA league.

They are (were?) one of the favorites...

i can't speak to how good this team is vs. their past teams but they're ranked 5th by FIBA and they finished 3rd in the last world cup and 2nd in the last olympics, but those were in 2020 and 2021.

the top ranked (by ELO rating i'm assuming?) are:
1. spain
2. usa
3. australia
4. argentina
5. france
....
15. canada

Team is still stacked, they have every available guy minus Wembanyama and Huertel. They suppose to be better than this , but this just reminder what massive potential this Canadian team has. My Lithuania still has name power and silly hopes they can do something, but gives us NAW, and he would be huge for us, and on reds he is like what, 6th, best perimeter guy?

Yeah. Solid. It's one game. Lots of teams blow out others and go on to get disappointed later. It's something to build on not celebrate. They have bigger goals.

If Canada had Jamal Murray and Wiggins they would be a legit threat to win this tourney.

Hoping they can get a medal.

It was a ‘dominant’ win, not a ‘solid’ win. Might be talking semantics here… I think you meant solid ‘start’ because yes, it’s just one game.

One game overreaction much? Yeah 30 pts is embarrassing, but it does not really say about difference in quality. I still would take France, if they were to play in 1/4 or 1/2 much more experienced.

Sounds like you're upset that Canada won. Didn't you use to be a Raptors fan? I remember seeing your name on the board.

They suffocated their guards and SGA ran circles around their bigs in the paint...

It's still one game/ 1st game of the tournament. Does not mean much.
