Just one game. They will be fine, and especially fine in Paris olympics when Wemby and Embiid (and Ntilikina) will be added to the roster.

I agree about Gobert though, so limited. But it's not like the Twolves didn't know what they were getting.

Wiggins doesn't care about Canadian basketball or Canada in general. Man just wants to clock in and clock out. Nothing wrong with that, just a bit disappointing when you can make history for your country

The post directly under the one u quoted shows that he's played 2x for the national team, the post under that says he's played 2x for the Jr National team...

Day 2 Odds

Cape Verde +14.5 vs Georgia
South Sudan +1.5 vs Puerto Rico
Jordan +19.5 vs Greece
Iran +17.5 vs Brazil
Venezuela +21.5 vs Slovenia
China +20.5 vs Serbia
New Zealand +36.5 vs USA
Ivory Coast +24.5 vs Spain

—-

Thoughts?

Got Philppines and Italy covering yesterday but stupidly avoided that what i thought was an easy Australia pick.

Likely betting on these teams today to cover:
South Sudan
Slovenia
USA
If there is no basketball in heaven, i am not going.

You do know the history Wiggins and family has had with team canada right? It's widely reported by reputable reporters. He and his family had demands and conditions for him playing on the team going back years when he was like the biggest Canadian star in the NBA. And they weren't like I want to wear my own shoes. It was extra stuff beyond basketball kinda like Kawhi's uncle asking for stuff but a lesser degree. He didn't play certain years because his demands weren't met. The guys who are playing now, are committed to Canada. Wiggins, he's looking out for his butt only.

I think Wiggins might play if he see's what the team is capable of. Winning changes things. Wiggins has been a different player on the Warriors. Part of that is he has a different role, but part of that is a different expectation, he is playing for something. On the wolves, he wasn't really sandbagging, but he want not focused all the time. He was asked to do a lot more and he wasn't capable of it. He was asked to be the man and he couldn't be that.

On the Warriros he is asked to be a specific role guy and he has excelled. He has committed to it and he has been phenomenal. I think with a gold medal on the line, he could buy in. He doesn't have to be the guy for team Canada either, he can be a similar role to the Golden State one and do serious damage.
When luck shuts the door skill comes in through the window.

I think the odds for today are more spot on today. However, I am going to take bets on Brazil, Cape Verde and New Zealand.

Georgia is the clear favourite vs Cape Verde, but if Tavarez has a monster game (as I believe he well might) the match might get surprisingly close.

New Zealand is a high scoring team with poor defense. They also have a history of getting hot vs USA. I expect New Zealand to get close to 100 points, USA to score well over 100 points, but the difference being under 37 points.

Iran team is bad. Brazil will win win the match easily. Unless Brazil decides to take it too easy in this match (it is basically just a warm up match for them), Brazil should win by way more than 18 points.

Already out: Lebanon +38.5 vs. Canada. i think they are on a mission to get these big statement wins before the KO stages and expect the Canadians to cover this one easily.

Canada is the second best nation in basketball

Bigs Powell/Olynyk/Clarke/Boucher
Wings Barrett/Wiggs/Brooks/Dort
Guards Murray/Shai/Mathurin/Sharpe

And I don’t care how many bigs has France, they can’t play all together at the same time.

And no one give them the ball!

At the beginning of the second quarter I thought "that is a game for Fall, they won't be able to defend" ...He took two fouls and Collet did not send him back ...

So you are true, they can't play all together at the same time. And moreover Collet don't know how to use only one of them...
LA 2028 (Starters):
Francisco - Strazel - Malédon - Traoré ?
Coulibaly - Fournier
Risacher - Cordinier
Yabusele- Hoard - Essengue/Penda?
Wembanyama - Lessort - Raynaud / Beringer /Sarr?

Is it me or Hollis-Jefferson looks exactly like Kobe? I mean body, the way he moves, man it looks like it's Kobe right there. Reminds me of Qyntel Woods who was one to one Lebron look alike at a time.

S.Sudan - Puerto Rico is pretty entertaining game...and Jordan has a Kobe impersonator playing for them.
